Help shape the next generation of space and defence systems
We're looking to connect with experienced Systems Engineers for long-term freelance/B2B opportunities supporting complex space and defence programmes in Norway.
We're particularly interested in engineers with experience in satellite systems, Low Earth Orbit (LEO) missions, communications systems or Earth observation. Engineers with broader space, aerospace or defence systems experience are also encouraged to apply.
This is an opportunity to bring your technical expertise to multidisciplinary teams, take ownership of system-level challenges and contribute across the engineering lifecycle.
We're looking for individuals to:
- Contribute to system architecture, requirements definition and technical design.
- Manage interfaces between subsystems and engineering disciplines.
- Support system integration, verification and validation.
- Collaborate with specialist engineers, suppliers, customers and programme teams.
- Take ownership of technical decisions, assess trade-offs and manage engineering risks.
- Help ensure systems meet performance, reliability and mission requirements.
Whether you're an established Space Systems Engineer or an experienced Defence Systems Engineer looking to apply your expertise to a new programme, we'd like to hear from you.
You may bring
- Strong systems engineering experience within space, satellite, aerospace or defence programmes.
- A background in satellite platforms, payloads, mission systems or ground segments.
- Experience with LEO missions, satellite communications, communications engineering, Earth observation or remote sensing would be particularly valuable, although these are not essential.
- An understanding of requirements management, system architecture, interface definition and the engineering lifecycle.
- Experience supporting integration, testing, verification and validation.
- Familiarity with tools and approaches such as DOORS, MBSE, SysML or relevant ECSS standards.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Applicants must be based in Norway, ideally in or around Oslo.
Interested? Please send me your CV and phone number, and I will personally give you a call to discuss your experience, availability and suitability for our long-term freelance/B2B opportunities.
