Description
The System Triage Contractor Engineer is responsible to evaluate performance data and test results collected from on road testing, simulation testing, creating value add analysis and trends as feedback to development teams. In addition to traditional embedded system triaging, the role will require techniques to investigate simulation data as well as counterfactual analysis.
Truck is one of their main test vehicle, SW that wasnt routed correctly, missing lane lines, obstcle infront of them
A successful candidate will have experience performing public road forensic analysis of robotic disengagements, cross-function collaboration, and driving initiatives to transform and help evolve the system triage and forensics processes. A robust experience in large-scale, safety-critical systems and/or software development processes within complex development systems is necessary to guide company engineering procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Data Triage & Root Cause Analysis
o Perform triage, tracking, and metric reporting for system anomalies and test escapes.
o Leverage 3D visualization tools to analyze sensor data, helping uncover complex software/hardware issues and identify root causes.
o Report on software quality using concepts such as defect ratios and software heatmap viewpoints
Behavioral Analysis & Simulation
o Analyze autonomous vehicle behaviors from public roads and closed-course testing.
o Utilize simulation tools to identify new edge-case scenarios and export them into datasets, helping the ML team expand and improve Reinforcement Learning & Training models.
o Perform counterfactual simulations of selected events, sharing critical analysis with Safety, System V&V, and ML teams to help mitigate unsafe system behaviors.
Tooling & Process Optimization
o Collaborate on tooling requirements for efficient triage, root cause analysis, metric reporting, and data visualization, with the goal of quickly extracting insights regarding software maturity.
o Maintain the defect management process, optimize defect workflows, and ensure high-quality bug ticketing to accurately reflect defect states.
Integration & Collaboration
o Contribute to a rapid integration and deployment schedule, supporting consistent software stack releases to extended testing teams.
o Work closely within your team and collaborate cross-functionally to provide a swift, responsive feedback loop to the core development teams.
Bug Ticket and Tracking
o Track and follow-up on high priority and blocking defects, ensuring continued progress
