Group Talent Acquisition and People Administrator

Chester – 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm)

Salary - £26,500

At Proximo, the UK’s leading provider of specialist and adapted replacement vehicles, we’re dedicated to keeping people on the move. Behind our service is a team of great people, and we’re just as committed to finding, supporting, and developing the right people to help our business thrive.

We’re recruiting for a Talent Acquisition and People Administrator to join our HR team. This is a people-first role, with a focus on attracting great talent, building relationships with candidates and hiring managers, and delivering a positive recruitment experience from the first conversation through to the first day in the business.

If you’re currently working in recruitment, perhaps as a Delivery Consultant or within an external recruitment agency, and are looking to take the next step into an in-house HR function, this could be a great opportunity. You’ll be able to build on your recruitment experience while gaining exposure to the wider employee lifecycle, including onboarding, people administration, and HR processes.

You’ll need to be organised, proactive, and confident communicating with people at all levels. While recruitment will be your main focus, you’ll also play an important role in keeping our people processes running smoothly and ensuring colleagues receive a responsive, professional service.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand vacancies, agree requirements, and create engaging job adverts that attract the right candidates.
  • Screen candidates over the phone, explain opportunities clearly, and keep applicants informed throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews, support consistent selection decisions, and ensure candidates have a positive experience.
  • Manage candidate records and recruitment activity through our applicant tracking system, BambooHR, keeping everything accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate offers and new-starter documentation, working with our Internal Comms and Learning and Development teams to make sure new colleagues have a smooth start.
  • Support the wider employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation and maintaining accurate colleague records.
  • Help manage absence records, employment references, compliance checks and general HR queries, providing a helpful and timely service to colleagues and managers.
  • Work with the wider HR team on reporting, employee records and people processes, ensuring information is accurate, confidential and handled appropriately.

What we’re looking for

  • Recruitment experience is desirable, or experience in a role where you speak to customers over the phone. You might be working as a Delivery Consultant or within an external agency and be ready to move into an in-house role where you can see the impact of your work across the business.
  • Confidence building relationships with candidates and hiring managers, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and keep multiple vacancies moving.
  • An interest in developing your knowledge of HR and gaining broader experience across the employee lifecycle.

You don’t need to have worked in an in-house HR team before. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people and is proud to provide excellent service to our candidates and people.

What we offer

We’re proud to be an Investors in People Silver employer. We invest in our people as well as our service, so you’ll have the tools, support, and training you need to do your job well.

Our benefits include:

  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, your birthday off, and the chance to increase your holiday allowance to 29 days.
  • Hybrid working after three months’ probation.
  • Medicash healthcare plan, including optical, dental, physiotherapy, and more.
  • Events throughout the year, including an end-of-year celebration and summer party.
  • Funding for qualifications and apprenticeship schemes.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • Pension contributions of 5% from you and 5% from us.
  • £1,000 employee referral bonus.
  • Monthly wellbeing hour.
  • Tech scheme and retail cashback scheme.
  • Service reward scheme.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Casual dress code.
