Great recruiting is about more than filling positions. It’s about finding the right people, building strong teams, and creating a great candidate experience along the way. We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager who is excited to lead and develop a recruiting team while still staying close to the work. If you enjoy the satisfaction of finding the right person for the right opportunity, coaching others, and continuously finding ways to make recruiting better, we’d love to hear from you.
About Group O
About Group O
We are a business process outsourcer specializing in supply chain, packaging, incentive marketing, and mobile device management and testing. Headquartered in Milan, Illinois, with operations across several states, our 1,000+ team members help world-class brands operate smarter and more efficiently. We remain privately held and family-owned, and we're still guided by our founder, Bob Ontiveros’, belief that "Everyone wins when people are given an opportunity to show what they can do."
Our business is always evolving, and that's a good thing. We're growing, adopting new tools, and continually finding better ways to work. If you thrive on change and see it as an opportunity to make things better, you'll fit right in.
The Role
The Role
As our Talent Acquisition Manager, you'll lead our recruiting team while keeping an active requisition load of your own. This working-manager role is a great fit for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution. You'll set direction, develop your team, build consistent and scalable processes, and partner with leaders across our multi-state operations to bring great talent through our doors.
Key Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop the team: Set clear priorities, coach recruiters through regular one-on-ones and feedback, balance workloads, and recognize strong performance.
- Recruit hands-on: Manage a mix of exempt, non-exempt, specialized, and leadership searches from intake through accepted offer.
- Source strategically: Build strong pipelines through direct outreach, referrals, professional networks, social media, community partnerships, job fairs, and campus events.
- Strengthen our processes: Create consistent recruiting workflows across locations and make sure our applicant tracking system (Pinpoint) is accurate, well-maintained, and fully utilized.
- Partner with leaders: Understand upcoming workforce needs, offer guidance on market conditions and candidate availability, and set realistic hiring timelines.
- Lead with data: Track measures such as time to fill, source effectiveness, and offer acceptance, and turn those insights into action.
- Ensure compliance: Keep hiring practices and records aligned with EEO, affirmative action, and OFCCP requirements where applicable.
- Manage vendor partnerships: Job boards, and technology providers with an eye on cost, quality, and responsiveness.
- Support business development: Contribute recruiting content to client proposals, including RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses, as needed.
