The Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) is an independent organisation dedicated to exposing human rights violations and threats to democracy. We achieve this through open source research, digital investigations, capacity-building with local partners, and collaboration with media to amplify our impact. CIR was born out of a determination to expose those spreading harm – online and offline – around the world, particularly in areas of violent conflict, such as Ukraine, Sudan and Myanmar. Our projects are at the forefront of efforts to investigate and document human rights abuses, war crimes, harms targeting women and minorities, and influence operations. We work closely with multilateral and national justice accountability bodies. We're always looking to connect with experienced investigators who specialise in collecting, analysing, and interpreting open-source data to generate actionable intelligence. Whether you're currently working in the private sector, law enforcement, journalism, or national security, we want to hear from you. While there is no guarantee of a position, our talent community is the first place we look when hiring. Contract Type: Contractor Hours needed Full or part time hours. Please state on your application how many hours you can do. Location : Remote. Clearance: May be required depending on future role specifics. What Joining the Talent Pool Means You’ll be kept on our radar for future OSINT investigator roles When a suitable position becomes available, our team will contact you directly We’ll keep your application on file (with your permission) for up to 12 months You’ll be among the first to hear about opportunities matching your skills Main Responsibilities Experience analysing or researching foreign information manipulation and interference. Employ open-source intelligence (OSINT) and social media analysis (SOCMINT) tools, techniques, and methodologies to conduct research into information operations and disinformation in various countries. Use SOCMINT tools to conduct audience analysis and gather audience insight. Analysing and documenting evidence of Coordinated Inauthentic Behaviour and other violations of platform terms and conditions and standards. Deliver comprehensive reports, based on the above sources and analysis, highlighting key information, links, patterns, and risks.
