Job Description: Tax IT Analyst
3M Health Care is now Solventum
At Solventum, we enable better, smarter, safer healthcare to improve lives. As a new company with a long legacy of creating breakthrough solutions for our customers’ toughest challenges, we pioneer game-changing innovations at the intersection of health, material and data science that change patients' lives for the better while enabling healthcare professionals to perform at their best. Because people, and their wellbeing, are at the heart of every scientific advancement we pursue.
We partner closely with the brightest minds in healthcare to ensure that every solution we create melds the latest technology with compassion and empathy. Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Solventum is seeking a Tax IT Analyst to join its Global Capability Center (GCC) organization in India. The role will support the design, implementation, enhancement, integration, and ongoing support of global Direct and Indirect Tax technology solutions, with particular emphasis on Solventum's SAP S/4HANA ERP landscape.
The Tax IT Analyst will work at the intersection of Tax, Finance, ERP, integration, and technology, collaborating with global business and IT stakeholders to translate tax requirements into dependable, scalable, and supportable technology solutions.
The position is intentionally suited to a candidate with strong fundamentals, learning agility, and potential to grow deeper into the Tax IT domain, rather than requiring extensive senior-level experience from day one. The current business requirement specifically identifies support for the TPIC Transfer Pricing solution as an immediate priority.
Key Responsibilities
As a Tax IT Analyst, you will have the opportunity to build expertise across Solventum's global Tax technology landscape while working closely with business, ERP, integration, and application teams.
Tax Technology & SAP S/4HANA
- Support the design, configuration, implementation, enhancement, and ongoing operation of Tax solutions integrated with SAP S/4HANA.
- Translate Direct and Indirect Tax business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Participate in solution design workshops, requirements discussions, design reviews, testing, implementation, and post-production support.
- Support global Tax processes and applications across Solventum's technology landscape.
- Develop an understanding of the capabilities, architecture, interfaces, dependencies, and limitations of the assigned Tax applications.
- Assist in reviewing solution designs to ensure alignment with functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operational requirements.
- Identify design or integration issues and collaborate with the appropriate business and IT teams through resolution.
Tax Platforms & Integrations
- Develop functional and technical expertise across Solventum's Tax technology portfolio, including ONESOURCE, SAP S/4HANA and TPIC, along with associated integrations.
- Support ONESOURCE Tax Determination processes and integrations with SAP.
- Support transaction and master-data flows between Tax platforms and connected enterprise applications.
- Assist with troubleshooting application, interface, configuration, and data-related issues.
- Support application changes, testing, deployment validation, production support, and continuous improvement.
Solventum's current architecture uses ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination for tax determination on applicable SAP transactions, with transactions passing between SAP and ONESOURCE for calculation of the appropriate tax code, rate, and amount.
The broader Tax landscape also includes integration among SAP, Certify Tax, and ONESOURCE for exemption certificate management and tax processes.
Transfer Pricing
- Build functional and technical understanding of Solventum's TPIC Transfer Pricing solution.
- Provide application and operational support for TPIC as knowledge and capability are developed.
- Partner with Tax stakeholders to understand Transfer Pricing technology requirements and support solution evolution.
Supporting the new TPIC Transfer Pricing tool is identified as the most pressing requirement for this hire in the approved position discussion.
Business Partnership & Delivery
- Collaborate with Global Tax, Finance, ERP, Integration, and other IT teams to design and deliver solutions meeting business requirements.
- Participate in regional and global workshops representing assigned Tax processes or subprocesses.
- Partner with business stakeholders during requirements definition, solution validation, UAT, deployment, and stabilization.
- Help evaluate process and technology improvements and advocate for standardized, scalable solutions.
- Communicate technical topics effectively to both business and IT audiences.
Documentation, Testing & Operational Excellence
- Create and maintain functional specifications, process flows, configuration documentation, test scenarios, support documentation, and knowledge articles.
- Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, deployment, and post-production validation.
- Contribute to incidents, problems, and change-management activities for supported Tax applications.
- Help drive root-cause identification and sustainable resolution of recurring application or integration issues.
- Build reusable knowledge and documentation within the India GCC to strengthen long-term Tax IT support capability.
Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant 6+ years of experience in ERP, Finance IT, Tax Technology, SAP, enterprise applications, or application support/implementation.
- 5+ years of Experience with international ERP deployments, especially SAP S/4Hana
- Experience or exposure to requirements analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, implementation, or production support.
