Who is Quantium?
Quantium is a world leader in data science and artificial intelligence. Established in Australia in 2002, Quantium is a global team of more than 1,200 people across 14 locations with a unique blend of capabilities across product and consulting services to help businesses unlock value from data and analytics. Quantium partners with the world's largest corporations to forge a better, more intelligent world.
We’re ALL in on AI, transforming ourselves into an AI-native organisation while helping our clients do the same. That includes Finance and Tax. As we grow across jurisdictions, we’re building a tax function that is technically excellent, commercially minded and increasingly automated.
As Tax Manager, you’ll own tax across the Quantium group globally, from compliance and provisioning through to advisory, governance and R&D incentives. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you’ll be the go-to technical expert and trusted business partner supporting the reimagination how tax gets done.
How You’ll Create Impact
- wn tax compliance, provisioning and forecasting across every jurisdiction we operate in, from income tax and GST/VAT to FBT and payroll taxes
- Lead transfer pricing, international related-party compliance and global R&D tax incentives
- Give practical, commercial advice on cross-border transactions, employee mobility and new legislation
- Strengthen tax governance so we’re always audit-ready, and use automation and AI to transform how tax gets done
- Lead and develop a junior team member, and build strong relationships with the business, advisors and tax authorities
The Superpowers You’ll Bring To The Team
- Technical Authority: You have deep Australian and international tax expertise and you’re confident with transfer pricing. You can manage complex matters across jurisdictions with precision and attention to detail.
- Trusted Business Partner: You make tax simple. You can explain a complex position clearly to a CFO, a finance analyst or a project team, and give advice that helps the business move, not just stay compliant.
- Transformation Mindset: You’re curious about tax technology and keen to apply automation and AI to a function that’s ready for it. You see better ways of working and you build them.
Required Experience And Capabilities
- Finance or law degree; postgraduate qualifications (CA, CPA or CTA) preferred
- 7+ years of tax experience (income tax, GST/VAT, FBT) with international tax exposure
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian and international tax, and an understanding of transfer pricing concepts
- Tax governance experience, including identifying risks and documenting procedures and controls
- Demonstrated experience managing tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and engaging with tax authorities, external advisors and auditors
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the detail
- Experience with tax technology and a genuine interest in automation and AI tools
- People leadership skills, with a focus on lifting team capability and performance
- Clear communication that lands with stakeholders at every level
