What will be your main responsibilities?

The EBS Tax Compliance Manager is responsible for leading and continuously evolving the Tax Compliance function within Enterprise Business Services (EBS), ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, governance, risk mitigation, and process standardization across all tax-related activities.

This role leads teams responsible for direct and indirect tax compliance, tax reporting obligations, tax controls, tax calendar management, tax reconciliations, and tax authority interactions, while acting as a key partner to Corporate Tax, Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders.

The position is also accountable for driving digital transformation, automation initiatives, data governance, KPI management, and the implementation of operating model changes required by the Brazilian Tax Reform, ensuring business continuity and compliance throughout the transition period.


The main activities are:


Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Tax Compliance organization within EBS.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, critical thinking, and operational excellence.
  • Develop succession plans, organizational capabilities, and technical expertise across the Tax function.
  • Mentor and coach leaders and individual contributors, supporting professional growth and organizational maturity.

Tax Compliance Operations

  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of all direct and indirect tax compliance activities.
  • Oversee federal, state, and municipal tax obligations, including tax returns, ancillary obligations, statutory reporting, and tax filings.
  • Manage tax payment processes and ensure full compliance with tax calendars and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive governance over tax compensations, tax credits utilization, and tax regularization activities.
  • Ensure proper management of tax audits, notices, assessments, contingencies, and interactions with tax authorities.

Governance, Controls & Risk Management

  • Establish governance frameworks, operating procedures, and internal controls across all Tax Compliance processes.
  • Ensure SOX compliance and readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Monitor tax risks, control deficiencies, and compliance exposures, implementing preventive and corrective actions.
  • Partner with Corporate Tax to ensure consistent interpretation and application of tax policies and regulations.

Tax Reform & Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead EBS readiness activities related to the Brazilian Tax Reform.
  • Support the implementation of new compliance requirements associated with CBS, IBS, and other emerging tax regulations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Tax, Accounting, IT, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
  • Participate in governance forums, steering committees, working groups, and transformation programs to ensure successful implementation of tax-related changes.

Process Excellence & Digital Transformation

  • Drive process standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify automation opportunities leveraging SAP, analytics, AI, robotics, workflow tools, and tax technologies.
  • Lead tax compliance dashboard development, KPI governance, and operational performance monitoring.
  • Promote data quality, process transparency, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Performance Management & Business Insights

  • Define, monitor, and govern Tax Compliance KPIs and SLAs.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on compliance performance, tax risk exposure, tax audits, tax compensations, penalties, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support decision-making through data-driven analysis, trend identification, and action planning.
  • Ensure alignment between EBS operational metrics, Tax functional expectations, and enterprise performance objectives.

What do you need for this role?

  • Solid Experience working in Shared Services / GBS (Global Business Services) environments.
  • Solid experience in Tax Compliance, including direct taxes, indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and statutory tax filings.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams.
  • Knowledge of Tax Reform impacts on business processes, systems, and compliance activities.
  • Experience managing KPIs, governance, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Hands-on profile with a strong focus on process optimization, automation, and operational excellence.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with a strong tax background.
