About the role As Teacher in Charge of Computing , you'll combine excellent classroom teaching with subject leadership, supporting the Head of Mathematics to deliver consistently high standards across Computing. You'll be a subject expert and a key source of guidance for other teachers, contributing to curriculum development, assessment, resources and professional development while ensuring students receive an engaging and rigorous learning experience. This is a full-time role based within our Greenwich campus , reporting to the Head of Department , with 2 release periods out of 22 teaching periods for subject leadership responsibilities. What you'll do Teach Computing expertly and deliver engaging, high-quality online lessons Support the Head of Department in implementing departmental priorities Provide advice, guidance and subject expertise to other teachers Contribute to the development of schemes of work, curriculum plans and shared teaching resources Keep up to date with changes to examination specifications and relevant requirements Coordinate and/or develop tests and examinations Assess and mark student classwork and homework and maintain accurate assessment records Support the appraisal and professional development of departmental colleagues as agreed with the Head of Mathematics Use technology effectively to enhance teaching and student learning Create and maintain a positive, supportive and academically challenging learning environment Contribute to departmental meetings, parent/teacher meetings and wider school initiatives Support students' pastoral wellbeing and work closely with the Head of Department and Deans when concerns arise Contribute to the wider life of CGA through school events and activities The role combines curriculum leadership, assessment, communication, resource development, professional development and pastoral responsibilities.
