Our Mission:

Omnea is the agentic operating system for procurement.

Procurement touches every pound a business spends, yet requests still stall for weeks and approvals get lost in inboxes. Our AI-first platform changes that: our agents capture requests, route approvals, onboard suppliers, flag risk and track every renewal, while anyone in the business can ask a question and get an answer grounded in their own company’s data. Buying becomes painless for everyone, procurement gets a seat at the table, and our customers have saved more than 100,000 hours of manual work so far.

Companies like Spotify, PayPal, T. Rowe Price, JustEat, Adyen and S&P Global run procurement on Omnea. We’re backed by $75M from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners and Accel, and we’ve been named the UK’s number one startup in the Startups 100, ranked 11th on Sifted’s 2026 list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies, and recognised as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies.

Talent density matters more to us than almost anything else. We keep the bar high in every team, so everyone here has real ownership and real impact. Our team is full of former founders and operators who’ve scaled unicorns, and we’re looking for people who want to do the best work of their careers alongside them.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for experienced, product-minded engineers to lead one of our engineering teams. It took over 10,000 interviews to hire our first 50 Omneans, and we’re now growing from 11 to more than 14 engineering teams in the coming months. Over the next year, our engineering team will double in size, our enterprise customer base will grow from ~180 to 300+, and revenue will triple.

As a Team Lead, you’ll own the technical direction and delivery of your team. You’ll stay hands-on, writing and shipping code while setting the bar for quality and helping the engineers around you do the best work of their careers. You’ll partner closely with a Product Manager and Product Designer to decide what to build, and you’ll be accountable for how well it’s built and how fast it ships.

What Can You Expect As a Team Lead?

  • Lead a Team. Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, working alongside a PM and Product Designer who sit with you day to day.

  • Stay Hands-On. You’ll still build. Expect to spend a meaningful share of your time writing code, reviewing PRs, and unblocking hard technical problems.

  • Own Technical Direction. Make the architecture and design calls for your team’s problem space, and own the trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

  • Shape the Roadmap. Work with your PM and Designer on prioritization, scoping, and sequencing so the team ships what matters most.

  • Grow Engineers. Coach and give feedback to the engineers on your team and help them take on bigger problems. For experienced Team Leads, this includes line management.

  • Build the Team. Interview, help hire, and onboard new engineers as we double in size.

  • Work with Modern Technology. TypeScript across the stack, React, Postgres, and AWS serverless (Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge), managed through Pulumi and deployed via GitHub Actions. Datadog, Meticulous, and Incident.io round it out.

  • AI-Native Development. Engineers use Claude Code and agentic workflows every day, and our product is built on AI agents that automate complex procurement workflows. You’ll help your team get the most out of these tools.

  • Customers at the Center. Talk directly with customers to understand their problems and make sure your team is building things that create real value.

About You

  • You’re an experienced full-stack engineer. You’ve designed and shipped web apps end to end in TypeScript, ideally on AWS serverless.

  • You’ve led engineers before. You’ve been a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or similar, owning delivery for a team and setting its technical direction.

  • You still love to build. Leading hasn’t pulled you away from the code, and you want a role where you keep shipping.

  • You raise the bar. You know what well-architected, reliable software looks like, and you help others get there through reviews, pairing, and clear feedback.

  • You’re motivated by impact. You care about outcomes for customers, not just output, and you make good calls on what to build and what to cut.

  • You’re a strong partner. You work well with product and design, push back when it matters, and bring people with you.

  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity. You can take an unclear problem, shape it, and get a team moving on it.

Nice-to-Haves

  • You’ve led a team through fast growth, ideally at a scale-up where the team and product changed quickly.

  • You’ve built B2B or enterprise SaaS, with complex workflows and demanding customers.

  • You’ve performed exceptionally at something else, be it academics, sport, or work.
