Job Description
As a Sales Team Lead at Clearpath Robotics by Rockwell Automation, you will manage the Clearpath Research Solutions sales team, with accountability for team performance, revenue growth, and the development of its technical sales professionals. You will set sales priorities, coach and develop team members, oversee forecasting and pipeline health, and work across the business to pursue opportunities in research, government, defense, aerospace, and commercial robotics markets. You will report to Business Manager, AMR and will work Hybrid in Waterloo, ON.
Primary responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical sales professionals, including setting goals, providing regular feedback, and supporting performance and career development.
- Drive sales planning, forecasting, and pipeline management activities.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for targeted market segments and new product introductions.
- Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to align customer needs with business priorities.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics to improve sales effectiveness and operational excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, research institutions, government organizations, and industry partners.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and trends to inform business strategy.
- Support complex sales opportunities and serve as an escalation point for key customer engagements.
- Participate in hiring and building the team's capabilities as the business grows.
The Essentials – You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred – You Might Also Have:
- Typically requires no previous management experience.
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development or account management.
- Demonstrated success achieving sales growth and revenue objectives in a global market.
- Experience leading day-to-day sales activities and supporting the success of others, such as mentoring colleagues, coordinating team priorities, or helping resolve complex customer opportunities.
- Experience with CRM products such as Salesforce.
- Navigate complex sales opportunities involving technical requirements and multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 20% for customer visits, trade shows, and internal meetings.
- Technical degree
- Experience with mobile robotics, automation, industrial equipment, or other complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience selling technical products or solutions into enterprise, government, research, or academic organizations.

For this role, the total target compensation is from $93,360.00 to 116,700.00 CAD Annual. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
