WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Tech Lead you will team up with a product manager, three developers, and a UX/UI designer, and remain hands-on in the design and delivery of software.

As Product Owner for one of our main products, you will also turn customer needs and company priorities into a focused roadmap, make day-to-day product decisions, and ensure the team delivers useful, reliable improvements.

This role suits someone who enjoys both technical depth and product thinking, and who is comfortable making decisions in a small company where priorities can change quickly.

Lead engineering delivery

• Set the technical direction for the product and make pragmatic decisions about architecture, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Guide and mentor three developers through planning, design discussions, code reviews, and regular feedback.
• Contribute hands-on to development, particularly on complex or high-impact work.
• Maintain appropriate standards for security, performance, reliability, documentation, and testing.
• Balance feature delivery with maintenance and technical debt.

Own one of our core products

• Define and maintain the product roadmap and backlog, informed by customer needs, company priorities, and technical opportunities.
• Translate problems into clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and manageable work for the team.
• Make prioritization and scope decisions, including when to release, iterate, or defer a feature.
• Work with the UX/UI designer and customer-facing colleagues to understand user workflows, test ideas, and improve the experience.
• Keep stakeholders informed about progress, trade-offs, and product decisions.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Strong software engineering experience, including technical leadership in a small or growing team.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and React with TypeScript (or comparable server-side and front-end frameworks), B2B SaaS, data-intensive products, or software serving customers across multiple markets would be an advantage.
• Experience owning a product backlog and making decisions that balance user value, business needs, and engineering effort.
• Practical experience building or integrating AI agents into real workflows, with a clear understanding of their limitations.
• Familiarity with evaluating AI outputs, monitoring agent behavior, and improving reliability over time.
• The ability to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical colleagues.
• A collaborative approach to design, customer feedback, and cross-functional work.
• Good judgement, comfort with ambiguity, and the willingness to take responsibility from idea through release.
