Job Description

About the role

In this role, you’ll work with our Architecture team to help shape technology solutions that improve the digital experience for CSC members and employers. You’ll work closely with Senior Architects, Solution Architects, Delivery Managers, Product Owners and delivery teams to understand business and technical requirements, explore solutions and turn ideas into practical designs.

You’ll be involved in discovery activities, developing and maintaining technical documentation, and supporting architecture governance throughout the delivery lifecycle. You’ll also help teams work through complex technical challenges and make sure solution designs are clear, practical and aligned with CSC’s technology direction.

A key part of your role will be working across our customer platforms, including Salesforce CRM, Web Self-Service, Salesforce Mobile Publisher, Okta and API integrations. As our digital and customer capabilities continue to grow, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to initiatives involving Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud (Data360) and Tableau.

Most importantly, you’ll work with people across CSC to solve problems, share your technical expertise and help deliver digital experiences that make things easier for our members and employers.

What You Will Do

  • Support Architects in analysing business initiatives and translating requirements into documented solution options and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain solution artefacts including Solution design documents, Architecture decision records, Process & Data flows, Non-functional requirements, Solution assessments
  • Document current-state and future-state architectures.
  • Analyse impacts across applications, integrations, data, security, and operational processes.
  • Assist with defining solution scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and constraints.
  • Participate in discovery activities, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Support architecture governance activities including Design Authority and architecture review processes.
  • Ensure solution documentation aligns with CSC architecture standards, principles, and patterns.
  • Assist with documenting API, integration, authentication, and data exchange requirements.
  • Support integration analysis and mapping between enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solution designs are technically feasible and aligned to enterprise standards.

Specific duties, deliverables and reporting lines may vary from time-to-time dependent on business needs and priorities. Key objectives and measurements will be captured in the Performance & Development planning cycle, established annually and adapted as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Formal IT development qualifications, with higher-level qualifications preferred.
  • Relevant professional and technical certifications, including ACS and Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, are advantageous.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Technical Analyst or Senior Developer delivering solutions across complex enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality technical documentation, including authentication, data flows, and functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience in financial services or federal government would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce platforms, including CRM, Web Self Service, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Mobile Publisher, Data 360 and/or Tableau, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Experience with integrations and APIs, ideally using MuleSoft or similar platforms, would be advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively across complex enterprise environments.
  • Ability to apply solution design patterns to meet organisational requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
