In this role, you’ll manage, support and optimize our data environments built using native AWS technologies. You’ll make a tangible impact by developing new tools, implementing and supporting technology process automation, and continuously improving existing systems. If you’re innovative, customer-focused, and excited to work with modern cloud and integration technologies in a broad, user- and business-driven environment, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact.
What you’ll do
- Be responsible for Business Intelligence platform administration, user governance and collaboration with data engineering and business stakeholders
- Manage user access provisioning and monitor data processes and system health
- Manage version control and deployment between environments (DEV/ITE/PRD)
- Ensure compliance with internal data governance standards
- Use AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and automate dataset refresh failure resolution
- Collaborate with colleagues and partners to simplify and streamline processes that improve the end-user and operational experience
- Support senior analysts by identifying and escalating technical or design challenges related to solution configuration or integration with existing frameworks and environments
- Triage production incidents, analyze logs and metrics, escalate complex issues to data engineering teams, document recurring issues and recommend automation improvements
- Develop scripts to automate monitoring tasks and improve alerting thresholds and notification workflows
- Optimize ETL job performance and cost efficiency
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and views, and optimize SQL
- Participate in an on-call rotation, if applicable
What you’ll bring to the team
Required qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology
- Minimum five years of SQL experience
- Minimum two years of experience with AWS technologies and concepts: AWS Data Pipeline, DMS, Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, S3, Redshift and QuickSight
- Proven experience in ETL and BI support or data analytics roles
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Proven ability to assess complex technical solutions, identify issues and resolve incidents
- Extensive knowledge of computer programming, systems analysis, design concepts, development methodologies and industry trends
Preferred qualifications:
