Position Summary The Technical Business Development Manager (TBDM) will be responsible for driving the growth of ITT Connectors within the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) markets, including smart defense, military vehicles, soldier systems, civil aviation, and space. The role will act as a key interface for monitoring market trends and developments. The TBDM will proactively identify and develop new business and design-in opportunities, while strengthening the company's market position in close collaboration with the regional sales team in the DACH region. Essential Responsibilities Develop new business in the A&D markets and act as regional interface for market developments in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). Lead development of new business, new product opportunities and design-in activities with strategic customers, directly or supporting the Sales team and the Distribution partners. Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders at strategic customers and in the industry. Work closely with Product Managers, Sales, Field Application Engineers and Product Development for the purpose of growing our business. Build and present product and application presentations to our existing and/or “new” potential customer base by demonstrating value-proposition and expertise in interconnect technologies. Identify opportunities to expand the product portfolio. Provide structured market and competitive intelligence, as well as voice of the customer. Provide input and presents proposals for new products and related technologies. Coordinate and program manage the execution of new product development and growth initiatives. Master Sales Opportunity Management Process per CRM system and Reporting Practices Position Requirements Economic and/or technical background, preferred with a Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic/Aerospace Engineering degree. Connector market experience (5+ years) will be considered in lieu of degree 3+ years of business development/sales/product management experience in connectors or related industry Familiar with design-in/spec-in and buying processes in the connectors or related industry Proven track record of creating new business Strong technical understanding Demonstrated ability to directly manage customer engagements including excellent written and oral communication skills Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal direction Hands-on, highly self-motivated/self-initiated, team player with demonstrated leadership skills working across functional departments Organizational skills to anticipate, prioritize, plan, organize to meet and exceed strategic objectives Willing to travel at least 50% of the time and face potential or existing customers German native speaker, fluent in English Proven experience in the aerospace and defense military connector markets
