For more than 65 years, Kordia has proudly kept New Zealanders and their businesses safe, connected and ready for the future. Operating across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific, we deliver mission-critical solutions spanning broadcasting, telecommunications infrastructure, maritime communications, cloud and cyber security. With a talented team of more than 450 experts, we’re trusted by many of New Zealand’s largest organisations to protect what matters most.

Ko tā mātou mahi – About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to help turn complex technology solutions into successful outcomes for our customers.

Working across our Cyber, Cloud & Connectivity Solutions business, you’ll lead the delivery of customer projects, service transitions and other customer-focused initiatives. You’ll bring together customers, technical specialists, sales, service operations and delivery teams, keeping everyone aligned and ensuring work progresses from planning through to successful handover.

This is a role for someone who enjoys making things happen. You’ll navigate competing priorities, remove roadblocks, manage risks and dependencies, and bring structure and clarity to complex delivery environments. Just as importantly, you’ll build trusted customer relationships and make sure they have confidence in how their solutions are being delivered.

Ko tō mahi – What you will do

Reporting to our Service Operations Lead, you’ll:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Cyber and Cloud customer projects and initiatives
  • Develop and manage delivery plans, schedules, milestones and dependencies
  • Coordinate technical and operational teams to keep delivery moving
  • Act as a key delivery contact for customers, providing clear and proactive communication
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, changes and delivery roadblocks
  • Lead delivery governance, including status reporting, RAID management and stakeholder forums
  • Coordinate service transitions, ensuring operational teams are ready to support new solutions
  • Use delivery performance and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Help strengthen our delivery practices, frameworks and ways of working

The role has a strong focus on customer outcomes, governance, risk management and ensuring new solutions transition smoothly into operational support

Nā tōu rourou – What you will bring

You’ll be an experienced technology delivery professional who is comfortable working across technical teams, customers and senior stakeholders.

We’re looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering technology, cloud, cyber security or telecommunications projects and services
  • Experience managing multiple projects, workstreams and competing priorities
  • Strong project delivery, planning, governance and risk management capability
  • Experience working with technical teams across areas such as cloud, networking, cyber security or managed services
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and build credibility
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work through complex delivery challenges
  • Commercial awareness, including an understanding of project financials, budgets and forecasting
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skill

A relevant degree or equivalent industry experience is welcomed, while certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or Scrum are advantageous. ITIL, Cyber Security or Cloud certifications would also be useful.

Nōu te rourou – Why join us?

You’ll have the opportunity to work across complex Cyber and Cloud environments where strong delivery really matters. Rather than managing projects from the sidelines, you’ll be at the centre of bringing customers and technical teams together, solving problems and seeing solutions through from planning to operational handover.
You’ll join a business delivering critical technology services across New Zealand, with plenty of variety, complexity and opportunity to make a tangible difference to how we deliver for our customers.

Alongside this, Kordia offers matched employer superannuation contributions of up to 5%, learning and development support, internal career pathways, flexible working, enhanced parental leave, wellbeing initiatives and insurance benefits.
