Technical Delivery Manager
Location: Remote with UK Wide travel
Hours: 40 Hours a week, Monday to Friday
At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead the technical delivery of mobile telecommunications projects across a portfolio of sites, from survey and design through build, integration, handover and close-out. You'll work across high-profile client programmes, coordinating internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure each site is safe, technically ready and delivered to programme, budget and quality expectations.
Role responsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical delivery across a portfolio of mobile telecoms sites, maintaining clear control of programme milestones, KPIs, client SLAs, costs, risks and delivery status.
- Review and challenge site designs, surveys and rigging plans of work, ensuring proposed antenna and equipment configurations, installation sequencing and tower or rooftop methodologies are practical, safe and buildable.
- Confirm site readiness before mobilisation, including approved designs, plans of work, RAMS, access, permits, materials, equipment and appropriately skilled resources.
- Coordinate Design, Rigging, Build, Civils and Electrical teams, together with suppliers, subcontractors and client technical stakeholders, to resolve dependencies, changes, blockers and escalations.
- Support delivery through build, installation, commissioning, handover and close-out, maintaining accurate records and reporting within Sitetracker and relevant client systems, while supporting Project Coordinators where required.
What we're looking for
- Essential experience delivering mobile telecommunications programmes, ideally network rollouts, upgrades or infrastructure projects across multiple sites; previous exposure to the VMO2 programme or estate would be highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of the telecoms site delivery lifecycle, including survey, design, acquisition and access, civils, electrical works, rigging, integration, commissioning and handover.
- The technical confidence to interpret and challenge designs, survey outputs, rigging methodologies and site-specific solutions, identifying buildability, readiness and delivery risks before mobilisation.
- A practical working knowledge of Health & Safety, RAMS and CDM requirements within a telecoms delivery environment, with the confidence to manage technical issues and escalate risks appropriately.
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, reporting and stakeholder-management skills; strong Microsoft Office capability; a full UK driving licence; and flexibility to travel when required.
What's in it for you?
- Hybrid working from one of our listed locations, with travel to project and client sites where required.
- The opportunity to work on high-profile telecommunications programmes that help keep businesses and communities connected nationwide.
- A supportive, collaborative environment with development opportunities and the chance to build a rewarding career within a leading UK infrastructure and facilities management business.
