Powerships have a range of 30 MW to 470 MW and are delivered ready to operate in less than 60 days. Currently, Karpowership owns and operates over than 30 Powerships with an installed capacity exceeding 3,500 MW and another 5,000 MW are under construction or in the pipeline. We are looking for a Technical Inspection Manager to join our Operational Excellence at our Head Office located in Kağıthane, Istanbul.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT?
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the maritime, power generation, shipbuilding, or industrial sectors.
- Strong technical expertise in diesel engines (HFO/LNG), gas turbines, and auxiliary mechanical systems.
- In-depth knowledge of equipment reliability, automation systems, and protection systems.
- Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), risk assessment, and reliability engineering methodologies.
- Solid understanding of preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and maintenance documentation.
- Experience with ERP/CMMS platforms, preferably SAP.
- English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or above.
- Availability for both domestic and international travel.

- Plan, coordinate, and execute technical audits and inspections across power generation facilities and mechanical systems, ensuring effective closure of audit findings through structured follow-up processes.
- Evaluate and report on equipment condition, maintenance effectiveness, and the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Lead the preparation of technical incident and failure investigation reports.
- Assess technical operational processes, identify corrective actions, and document observations, findings, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor equipment performance trends and evaluate oil analysis reports, vibration measurements, and condition monitoring data.
- Participate in root cause investigations and failure analyses, contributing to the development of preventive measures and best practices.
- Identify reliability risks, recurring failures, and maintenance deficiencies, and develop recommendations for technical improvements.
- Lead root cause analysis activities for critical equipment failures.
- Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, asset performance, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare comprehensive technical inspection reports and present findings to senior management.
- Coordinate effectively with plant teams, OEMs, and third-party technical specialists.
- Support the development of technical teams and contribute to technical training and capability-building initiatives.
