About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Technical Lead – AI & Application Development to drive the development of AI-enabled applications, cloud-native solutions, and modern software platforms supporting healthcare operations.

This role requires a technology leader with strong software engineering expertise, practical AI implementation experience, and the ability to bridge business stakeholders, product teams, technical leadership, and offshore engineering teams. The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record of delivering enterprise solutions while leveraging AI responsibly and effectively to create measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications and AI-enabled solutions.
• Evaluate and implement appropriate AI models and tools based on business requirements, cost considerations, and operational objectives.
• Design and optimize AI-assisted workflows to improve productivity, efficiency, and decision-making.
• Guide development teams in utilizing AI-assisted development tools and intelligent automation capabilities.
• Lead full application development lifecycles across design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable technology solutions.
• Drive cloud-native development practices across Azure and containerized environments.
• Support DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and infrastructure best practices.
• Promote secure application development practices and ensure adherence to engineering governance standards.
• Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership across projects.
• Work closely with offshore teams to ensure delivery quality, technical alignment, and project success.
• Evaluate AI-enabled features, monitor performance, and establish governance controls prior to production deployment.
• Ensure AI-generated outputs are validated through peer review, testing, security reviews, and quality assurance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of software engineering and application development experience.
• Proven experience delivering solutions within healthcare, banking, telecom, or other enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience using AI tools and AI assistants in real-world software delivery projects.
• Demonstrated experience implementing AI-enabled solutions beyond theoretical knowledge or certifications.
• Ability to clearly explain real-world AI use cases, including problem definition, approach, validation process, outcomes, and lessons learned.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Jupyter Notebooks or similar AI experimentation platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience developing applications using React, React Native, Spring Boot, MS SQL, and cloud-based databases.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, application security, and Day 0/Day 1 security principles.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development environments while maintaining engineering controls and governance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and stakeholder meetings.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

• Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) domain experience.

  • Authorization Management
  • Medical Coding
  • Billing
  • Payment Posting
  • Collections Management

• Experience working with product, engineering, operations, compliance, security, clinical, and finance teams.

• Exposure to Generative AI, Predictive Models, Workflow Automation, and Intelligent Process Automation.

• Experience evaluating AI-generated code, validating outputs, and implementing AI governance frameworks.

Candidate Profile We Are Looking For

• Demonstrated hands-on use of AI assistants such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent platforms in professional software development environments.
• Experience operating within AI-enabled engineering environments where AI is integrated into day-to-day development workflows.
• Strong understanding of the differences between workflow automation, predictive analytics, generative AI, and rule-based systems.
• Ability to assess when AI should be applied and where human oversight remains essential.
• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn healthcare and RCM processes.
• Responsible approach to AI adoption, including confidentiality protection, validation of outputs, risk management, and governance compliance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business and technology functions.
