About FinSet

We work with prop trading firms, forex and CFD brokers, iGaming operators, and other high-risk businesses, matching them with the right acquirers, PSPs, banking partners, and payment infrastructure.

But we’re not introducers who make an introduction and step away.

We’re hands-on operators who stay involved from the first conversation through onboarding, integration, compliance, corporate structuring, licensing, and ultimately live processing.

As part of our infrastructure, FinSet provides clients with access to our gateway and orchestration platform, which connects merchants to multiple payment providers through a centralized integration.

The Role

We are looking for a Technical Onboarding & Payments Support Specialist to own the technical support side of our client journey—from initial gateway integration and sandbox testing through launch and ongoing live processing.

You will be the primary technical point of contact for our merchants and will sit between the client’s technical team, FinSet, our gateway/orchestration technology provider, and the PSPs and acquirers connected to the merchant.

This is not a copy-and-paste support role.

We need someone who can understand a technical problem, investigate it, communicate clearly with developers, work through API documentation, and attempt to solve issues independently before escalating them to our technology partners.

When escalation is necessary, you will be responsible for communicating the issue clearly to the appropriate technical team, following it through to resolution, and translating the outcome back to the client.

The objective is simple: make integrations easier, launches smoother, and technical issues faster to resolve.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Technical Onboarding & Integration

Guide new clients through the technical integration with FinSet’s gateway and orchestration platform.

You’ll work directly with client developers to help them understand the API documentation, integration requirements, authentication, credentials, sandbox environment, payment flows, testing procedures, and the steps required to move into production.

You should be comfortable reading API documentation and explaining technical concepts to developers without simply forwarding documentation and expecting them to figure everything out themselves.

You’ll help troubleshoot integration issues, identify likely causes, and work with the client to resolve problems wherever possible.

When an issue requires intervention from our gateway/orchestrator technical team, you’ll gather the necessary information, escalate it properly, and manage communication until the issue is resolved.

Sandbox Testing & Going Live

Once the initial integration is complete, you’ll help merchants successfully move from sandbox testing into their live environment.

This includes:

  • Assisting clients with navigating the gateway/orchestration platform.

  • Helping configure and connect PSP/acquirer credentials as providers are onboarded.

  • Coordinating technical requirements between the merchant and the relevant PSPs.

  • Helping merchants perform test transactions and validating payment flows.

  • Troubleshooting failed tests and identifying whether issues originate with the merchant integration, gateway/orchestrator, PSP, or configuration.

  • Making sure the technical side of the setup is ready before the merchant begins live processing.

You’ll effectively act as the technical owner of the merchant’s journey from integration → testing → production.

Ongoing Payments Support

Your responsibility doesn’t end when the merchant goes live.

You will be the first point of contact for technical support in the communication channels we maintain with our clients.

When merchants experience technical issues, you’ll investigate first rather than immediately escalating.

Depending on the issue, you may need to coordinate with:

  • The merchant’s development or technical team.

  • FinSet’s internal team.

  • Our gateway/orchestrator technical team.

  • PSP or acquirer technical support teams.

You’ll be responsible for keeping communication organized and ensuring issues continue moving toward resolution rather than getting lost between different providers.

Issues may include transaction failures, API errors, configuration problems, credential issues, payment-method setup, routing questions, webhook/callback issues, PSP connectivity, or other payment-processing problems.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has previous experience in payment gateways, payment orchestration, PSPs, acquiring, or technical payments support.

Experience working directly for or with a payment gateway or orchestration platform would be particularly valuable.

You should:

  • Be comfortable reading and understanding API documentation.

  • Be able to explain API and integration requirements clearly to developers.

  • Understand the basics of REST APIs, API requests/responses, authentication, webhooks/callbacks, credentials, sandbox vs. production environments, and common HTTP/API errors.

  • Have a practical understanding of online payment flows and how merchants, gateways, orchestrators, PSPs, and acquirers interact.

  • Be able to troubleshoot methodically rather than immediately escalating every issue.

  • Know how to collect the right technical information—error messages, request/response details, transaction IDs, timestamps, logs, configuration details, etc.—before escalating an issue.

  • Communicate technical problems clearly and efficiently with external technical support teams.

  • Be comfortable working directly with client developers as well as less-technical client stakeholders.

  • Take ownership of issues and follow them through until they are resolved.

  • Be highly organized and able to manage several merchant integrations and support conversations simultaneously.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally in English.

Strong Advantages

We’d especially like to hear from candidates who have:

  • Worked for a payment gateway or payment orchestration platform.

  • Worked in technical support or technical onboarding for a PSP, acquirer, fintech, or payment company.

  • Supported merchants through API integrations.

  • Experience configuring PSPs or payment methods within gateways/orchestrators.

  • Experience troubleshooting live payment-processing issues.

  • Familiarity with payment routing, declines, webhooks, callbacks, transaction statuses, MID configuration, credentials, and payment-provider integrations.

  • Experience working with high-risk industries such as forex, CFDs, prop trading, iGaming, crypto, or similar verticals.

Coding experience is helpful but not required. We’re not hiring a software engineer.

We’re looking for someone technical enough to understand integrations, investigate issues intelligently, communicate effectively with developers, and know when and how to involve deeper technical resources.

What Success Looks Like

A successful person in this role becomes the technical person our clients trust when they need help.

Clients shouldn’t need to figure out which provider to contact or chase multiple technical teams themselves. You take ownership, investigate the problem, involve the right parties when necessary, and keep things moving.

Over time, you’ll develop a strong understanding of our gateway/orchestration infrastructure and the PSPs we work with, allowing you to resolve an increasing percentage of questions independently and escalate only when deeper technical intervention is genuinely required.

Your success will ultimately be measured by how smoothly merchants move from onboarding to integration, from integration to live processing, and how effectively technical issues are resolved once they’re processing.

Location & Availability

This is a fully remote position, and candidates can be based anywhere.

However, your regular working hours must align with Eastern European / Middle Eastern business hours, as you’ll need to be available during the hours when our team, clients, and partners are actively communicating.
