Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Operations Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting production environments, ensuring system reliability, optimal performance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, highly proficient in SQL databases, and a solid understanding of Linux-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, application, and operational issues.
• Write and use SQL queries to perform data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting to resolve database related issues.
• Perform environment monitoring using Linux, SSH, and system/application logs to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to deploy, support, and improve applications.
• Document processes, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and operational workflows.
• Strong experience in L2/L3 support, manage and resolve technical issues within defined service levels.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis activities.
• Assist in the automation and continuous improvement of operational processes.

Role Requirements

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services, derivatives trading, or capital markets. Experience with Middle Office or Back Office operations is highly desirable.
• Highly proficient in SQL (experienced with JOINS, GROUP BY, Indexing), particularly with MySQL/MariaDB databases.
• Linux administration and Bash scripting knowledge.
• Experience using AI to automate services.
• Proficiency with Python programming
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach.
• Experience with Git version control is an advantage.
• Experience in software/application development is an advantage
• Proven experience in L2/L3 production support, with strong technical expertise and advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
