Technical Product Owner

Role Description The Technical Product Owner is a part-time hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for defining and prioritizing product backlogs, translating business needs into clear technical requirements, and collaborating closely with software development teams to deliver high-quality financial technology solutions. Day-to-day tasks include gathering and refining business requirements, aligning product features with client needs, coordinating with stakeholders across finance and technology, and ensuring that product releases meet functional, performance, and compliance expectations. The Technical Product Owner will also monitor product performance, support continuous improvement, and contribute to roadmap planning that supports Nova Financial Corporation’s strategic financial services.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Business Analysis capabilities to interpret financial data, define problem statements, and translate insights into product requirements.
• Candidates should possess solid Product Management skills to manage backlogs, prioritize features, oversee roadmaps, and ensure delivery aligned with business goals.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, interact with stakeholders, and document requirements clearly and concisely.
• Candidates should possess a good understanding of Software Development practices to work efficiently with engineering teams, discuss technical constraints, and validate implementation against specifications.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field are beneficial.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, FP&A, or financial modeling is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, product ownership tools (e.g., Jira, Trello), and basic cloud or API concepts is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Dubai, manage part-time responsibilities effectively, and adapt to evolving business priorities.
