About the Opportunity
Sharon AI is recruiting on behalf of an affiliated new venture operating in the rapidly evolving AI infrastructure sector.
The opportunity is to join a growing infrastructure investment and development business focused on supporting the next generation of AI compute in Australia. The business is building the foundations for future growth, with a focus on infrastructure development, strategic partnerships and delivering projects that support Australia's evolving digital infrastructure needs.
The Role
As Technical Program Manager, youโll lead the delivery of complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects that will help power the next generation of AI compute. From design and construction through commissioning and operational handover, youโll bring together technical teams, delivery partners and key stakeholders to turn ambitious plans into operational reality. This is an opportunity to shape major infrastructure programmes, solve complex delivery challenges and make a lasting impact in a rapidly evolving industry.
What Youโll Be Doing:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data centre and technical infrastructure programmes, coordinating design, construction, commissioning, operational readiness and customer handover.
- Drive integrated schedules, budgets, project dependencies and performance milestones, proactively managing risks and resolving issues to keep delivery on track.
- Align engineering, construction, operations, technology teams, vendors and customers to ensure technical requirements and business objectives are delivered.
- Oversee commissioning readiness, integrated systems testing and handover activities, ensuring infrastructure meets quality, reliability and operational requirements.
- Lead programme governance, executive reporting, change control, procurement and vendor performance, providing clear insights to support timely decisions and successful outcomes.
What Youโll Bring:
- A bachelorโs degree in engineering, construction management, project management, information technology or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale technical infrastructure, data centre, critical facilities, telecommunications or cloud projects, including multi-million-dollar programmes.
- Strong programme management expertise across scheduling, project controls, risk management, budgets, governance and delivery performance.
- A solid understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, networking, security and operational systems, with commissioning and integrated systems testing experience highly regarded.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the commercial judgement to coordinate multiple vendors and workstreams. PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent certification is advantageous.
