💼 Senior

Project

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to coordinate an enterprise technology transformation programme focused on migrating workloads from VMware vSphere to Red Hat OpenShift.

You will be responsible for coordinating the migration lifecycle from workload discovery and readiness assessment through testing, cutover, operational acceptance and legacy-platform decommissioning.

The role requires strong programme coordination and stakeholder management skills, combined with enough technical understanding of VMware vSphere and OpenShift to challenge assumptions, identify dependencies and support informed project decisions. Hands-on administration of the platforms is not required.

You will

  • Coordinate the end-to-end VMware vSphere to Red Hat OpenShift migration programme
  • Develop and maintain an integrated transition roadmap covering assessment, design, build, migration waves, testing, cutover and decommissioning
  • Coordinate infrastructure, application, platform, network, storage, security, architecture and operations teams
  • Define migration waves, prioritise workloads and coordinate migration activities with minimal business disruption
  • Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions
  • Track application readiness, technical prerequisites and operational requirements
  • Coordinate functional, integration, performance, resilience and operational acceptance testing
  • Manage project plans, milestones, deliverables, actions and decision logs
  • Prepare status reports, steering committee materials and management information
  • Coordinate change-management activities, ensuring changes are assessed, approved, scheduled and communicated
  • Coordinate operational handover, including support models, documentation, monitoring, backup, patching and incident procedures
  • Support service resilience, sustainability and recovery requirements throughout the migration
  • Ensure migration activities comply with relevant service management standards and governance requirements
  • Coordinate engineering changes with a strong focus on customer and user experience
  • Support the controlled and auditable decommissioning of legacy infrastructure
  • Communicate technical topics clearly and translate them into project-level decisions for senior stakeholders

Must have

  • Proven experience managing or coordinating complex technology transformation and migration projects in enterprise environments
  • Strong experience with VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter and virtualisation concepts
  • Strong understanding of Red Hat OpenShift, including architecture, projects/namespaces, workloads, routes, storage and security concepts
  • Experience coordinating migrations between virtualisation and container platforms
  • Good understanding of application dependencies, interfaces, databases, monitoring, backup and recovery requirements
  • Experience with workload discovery, classification, dependency mapping and readiness assessments
  • Experience with migration planning, including capacity, performance, security, compliance, cutover, rollback and recovery
  • Strong dependency and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience coordinating multiple technical teams and working across organisational boundaries
  • Strong project governance, reporting and planning skills
  • Experience coordinating operational handover and service acceptance
  • Understanding of change-management processes in enterprise IT environments
  • Ability to manage complex projects under challenging timelines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent English and Polish

Nice to have

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of financial, licensing and capacity considerations related to infrastructure transformation
  • Experience with enterprise platform modernisation or legacy infrastructure decommissioning
  • Experience in service management and operational resilience
  • Knowledge of German
  • Experience working in large-scale, globally distributed technology organisations

Our offer

  • Relocation package (4500 PLN total value), paid in three installments (1500 PLN per month) in case your permanent presence in the office is mandatory, and you need to relocate from another city
  • Benefits: Extended medical care (over 2000 medical facilities in Poland, 80 in Kraków) for you and your family; Multisport Benefit card; life insurance
