Role Summary:

Plan, coordinate, and help deliver multiple concurrent client projects for our consulting team. This person bridges consultants, engineers, and clients, bringing strong technical fluency and project management discipline to scientific computing and research-focused engagements. Works autonomously, anticipates risks, and keeps projects on scope, on time, and on budget with minimal oversight, and provides ongoing insights, reports and forecasts.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of concurrent consulting projects from kickoff through delivery and handoff. These are projects in systems modeling and simulation
• Help define project scope, deliverables, milestones, and resource plans in partnership with Head of Consulting and the team
• Track timelines, budgets, utilization, and dependencies; forecast delivery dates and flag risks early
• Coordinate with consulting team as well as product engineering teams when engagements surface feature requests or bugs
• Develop and monitor project health and delivery metrics (on-time delivery, margin, utilization, client satisfaction) to drive continuous improvement
• Establish automated planning and tracking systems for projects, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, margins, risk factors, etc. Use AI as much as possible

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of project management experience
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across varied clients and priorities
• Strong technical fluency in use of AI and automation tools
• Familiarity with GitHub, ticketing and agile methodologies
• Strong skills in project management, managing timelines, resource planning, and communicating clearly and emphatically to all the stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with comfort presenting to both technical and executive audiences
• Basic knowledge of physical engineering, systems modeling and simulation will help
