Technical Support Engineer

Role Description This is a part-time hybrid role based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The role involves supporting teaching and learning activities, assisting with course preparation, and contributing to the development of academic materials and resources. Responsibilities may include guiding students on assignments or projects, participating in tutorials or lab sessions, and coordinating with faculty on academic and administrative tasks. The role also includes maintaining clear communication with students and colleagues, using digital tools for remote collaboration, and adhering to institutional policies and academic standards.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in engineering, applied sciences, or a related discipline, with relevant teaching, tutoring, or academic support experience.
• Ability to prepare and organize instructional content, including lecture materials, assignments, and project guidelines, using standard productivity and learning management tools.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage diverse learners and collaborate with faculty and staff in a multicultural environment.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in research, innovation, and real-world application of engineering and scientific concepts.
• Comfort with hybrid working arrangements, including reliable internet access and proficiency in online meeting and collaboration platforms.
• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, sciences, or technology) is preferred; prior experience in higher education or academic institutions is an advantage.
