About the role We're looking for a Technical Writer who sees documentation as an integral part of the product, and takes an active part in the product development lifecycle. You'll join one of our product development teams and work closely with software engineers, product managers and domain experts to ensure our documentation evolves alongside the product itself. Success in this role means delivering accurate, well-structured and easy-to-navigate documentation that helps a wide range of users, from system administrators and developers to knowledge engineers and data scientists. You'll proactively follow product development, understand upcoming releases, and make sure documentation is ready when new functionality reaches our customers. What you'll do Create, maintain and improve high-quality technical documentation, including deployment guides, product and reference documentation, technical articles, and tutorials. Work as an embedded member of a product development team, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers and subject matter experts throughout the software development lifecycle. Follow the same workflows and processes as the engineering team, using the same development tools. Write documentation for technical users with varying backgrounds, including developers, administrators, knowledge engineers, data scientists and solution architects. Monitor product development and release schedules to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and published on time. Research new product features, understand their technical details, and determine the documentation required before release. Structure documentation in a way that makes it easy to discover, navigate and maintain for different audiences. Continuously review and improve existing documentation to ensure it remains accurate, complete, and aligned with product changes. Explore and adopt modern documentation practices, including AI-assisted authoring tools, where they improve quality and efficiency. What makes a good candidate 3+ years of experience writing and editing technical documentation for software products, such as deployment guides, tutorials, API documentation, developer blogs, or technical reports. Excellent written English, with exceptional attention to clarity, information architecture, grammar, and proofreading. Experience working as part of a software product development team within an Agile or similar Software Development Life Cycle environment. Hands-on experience with Git and the Docs as Code methodology. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts. Ability to understand technical concepts quickly and translate them into clear, accurate, and user-focused documentation. A proactive mindset with the ability to independently identify documentation needs and drive them to completion. Nice to have Experience with documentation generation tools such as Doxygen, Sphinx, Docusaurus, Javadoc, or similar. Basic knowledge of Python and JavaScript, including the ability to read and understand code. Experience writing API documentation. Familiarity with semantic technologies, knowledge graphs, or AI-powered products. Experience using AI-assisted documentation or content authoring tools.
