What You'll Be Doing
As the Technical Writer, you will collaborate with regulatory subject matter experts, operational stakeholders and the Legal team to translate complex legislative requirements, regulatory interpretations and organisational positions into guidance that is easy to understand and apply.
You Will
This is a contract role for 12 months, based in Newcastle.

As the Technical Writer, you will collaborate with regulatory subject matter experts, operational stakeholders and the Legal team to translate complex legislative requirements, regulatory interpretations and organisational positions into guidance that is easy to understand and apply.
You Will
- Develop, review and maintain regulatory guidance, procedures, SOPs and work instructions
- Translate complex regulatory and legislative concepts into practical, audience-appropriate content
- Collaborate with regulatory leaders, technical specialists and Legal to document positions and requirements
- Engage stakeholders to capture existing practices, decision-making processes and business requirements
- Create and maintain documentation standards, templates and style guides
- Review existing content and improve its clarity, consistency, usability and accessibility
- Monitor legislative, policy and operational changes to keep documentation current
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying documentation gaps and developing solutions

To be successful in the role of Technical Writer, your background will demonstrate:
- exceptional written communication and document development skills
- experience developing regulatory guidance, policy documents or interpretative material
- experience in a regulatory, governance, compliance, legal, public sector or other highly regulated environment
- demonstrated experience developing complex guidance, policies, procedures, SOPs or technical content
- ability to interpret complex information and present it clearly for a range of audiences
- strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- high attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within agreed timeframes
- experience using document management or knowledge management systems.
- A qualification in communications, technical writing, public policy, law, business, governance or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
