“is” is a new kind of social content platform built around the concept of “Linked Micro-Content.” Instead of traditional posts or videos, users create short, expressive statements called “Isms” — small bursts of language and emotion that link together to form dynamic networks of thought, humor, news, and creativity. Each Ism can be styled, remixed, and transformed through AI-driven modes that affect visuals, motion, and tone. Role Overview
We’re seeking a Technical Writer / Content Specialist to help document, explain, and narrate the core technology, features, and creative workflows behind the is.fun platform. This role combines clear, structured writing with a creative, storytelling edge — helping users, developers, and partners understand how “Isms” and AI-driven modes work. You’ll craft internal and public-facing documentation, guides, and articles that connect technology and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
Create technical documentation, user guides, and process flows for internal and external audiences
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to understand and translate technical concepts
Develop clear, visually structured guides and tutorials for creators, testers, and partners
Write product updates, feature explanations, and onboarding materials that are informative yet engaging
Maintain a consistent tone, structure, and documentation style across all written assets
Help design and maintain the knowledge base for the is.fun ecosystem
Assist with product marketing content, ensuring clarity and technical accuracy
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or product content creation
Strong ability to explain technical systems in simple, user-friendly language
Experience collaborating with software engineers or product managers on documentation projects
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working with AI and creative tools to visualize concepts or workflows
Familiarity with Markdown, HTML, or content management systems is a plus
Nice to Have
Experience with API documentation or developer tools
Background in UX writing, instructional design, or content strategy
Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, cloud architecture, or SaaS documentation
