Technology Project Manager

Company Overview

This company is an established MEP and technology consulting engineering firm that has been designing building systems since 1959. Their technology group designs low voltage and security systems including structured cabling, audiovisual, nurse call, and electronic security. Clients include healthcare, higher education, government, and commercial facilities, with a growing data center presence.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead low voltage design projects from planning through construction administration. This role can be based out of the Salt Lake City, Denver, or Boise office with hybrid flexibility. You will manage client coordination, scope, fees, staffing, and schedules while giving technical direction to the design team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of low voltage technology design or consulting experience, and healthcare or data center work is a big plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead owner and design team meetings as the Project Manager and document requirements, decisions, and action items
• Manage design fees, labor budgets, staffing, schedules, and scope changes
• Direct low voltage system design including structured cabling, audiovisual, nurse call, access control, and video surveillance
• Coordinate technology requirements with architects, MEP engineers, and owners
• Oversee structured cabling and security drawings and specifications and review deliverables for completeness and quality
• Support hands-on structured cabling design and limited Revit production when project needs require it
• Review submittals and RFIs, observe construction, and document issues related to design intent
• Guide technology designers, resolve technical issues on healthcare and data center projects, and communicate progress to clients

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of low voltage technology design or consulting experience including project leadership
• Project experience in healthcare, higher education, government, laboratory, data center, or similar institutional facilities
• Working knowledge of structured cabling, audiovisual, and security systems along with BICSI and TIA standards
• Ability to manage multiple design projects at once and communicate clearly with clients
• Consistent employment history with longevity at previous firms

Preferred Qualifications

• BICSI RCDD and/or DCDC certification
• Healthcare and/or data center technology design experience
• Revit proficiency with AutoCAD experience
• A/E consulting background with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office proficiency
• PMP certification

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 based on experience
