We are hiring a Technology Vendor & Partnerships Manager for our client to build, manage, and grow relationships with technology vendors and partners.
**Experience with a Value Added Reseller (VAR), Managed Service Provider (MSP), IT reseller, or IT distributor is strongly preferred.**
Our client helps businesses evaluate, source, and manage vendor products and services. Its customers may need a new solution, a renewal, better pricing, or an alternative to an existing provider.
You will work closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and a U.S.-based team to understand those needs, identify suitable vendors, establish partnerships, and keep quotations and projects moving. You will own ongoing vendor relationships, with a focus on responsiveness, customer value, and opportunities to grow each partnership.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify, research, and approach technology vendors and potential channel partners.
- Understand vendors’ solutions at a business level and assess their suitability for customer requirements.
- Establish and onboard new vendor partnerships, including coordinating commercial terms and internal reviews.
- Manage existing vendor relationships and develop opportunities to grow those partnerships.
- Request, clarify, compare, and track quotations from multiple vendors.
- Support pricing discussions, commercial negotiations, and contract reviews.
- Coordinate vendor activity across multiple customer projects, working closely with CSMs and internal teams.
- Set clear expectations for response times and quote turnaround; follow up consistently and escalate delays.
- Maintain accurate records of vendors, contacts, pricing, opportunities, and partnership activity.
- Learn new technology categories and contribute to the growth of the company’s vendor ecosystem and reseller business.
**What We’re Looking For**
- A B2B technology background, ideally with direct responsibility for vendor or channel partner relationships.
- Strong account management and commercial skills, including professional outreach, relationship development, and negotiation.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to lead clear, confident conversations with U.S.-based vendors and teams.
- The ability to understand a customer’s business needs, ask relevant questions, and explain how a vendor’s solution could help.
- Strong organization and follow-through when managing several vendors, quotations, and projects at once.
- Initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a growing company where processes continue to evolve.
- Curiosity about technology and the ability to learn unfamiliar products and services quickly.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 applications.
- Full-time availability Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time.
**Strongly Preferred Experience**
- Working for a VAR, MSP, IT reseller, IT distributor, or system integrator.
- Managing multiple technology vendors and bringing their solutions to customers.
- Channel management, channel development, partner onboarding, or vendor ecosystem development.
- Establishing new technology vendor relationships and managing them beyond the initial agreement.
- Working with software, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, hardware, networking, or telecom solutions.
- Practical knowledge of reseller operations and vendor commercial processes.
We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, takes ownership of follow-ups, and can connect customer needs with suitable technology partners. Strong communication, commercial judgment, and willingness to learn matter alongside relevant experience.
