Remote Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

100% Remote | Telehealth Program | Full-Time Opportunity

We are seeking compassionate, patient-focused Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) to support a growing Telehealth program. In this fully remote role, you will work directly with patients, providing guidance on the use of home monitoring kits, collecting and documenting vital signs, and delivering exceptional customer support through inbound patient interactions.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where strong clinical judgment, empathy, and attention to detail are essential to ensuring a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound patient calls in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Educate and support patients using remote monitoring and healthcare kits.
• Collect, review, and accurately document patient vital signs.
• Identify and escalate abnormal or out-of-range vitals when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate patient records within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Assist patients with telehealth technology and troubleshooting basic technical issues.
• Ensure all patient interactions comply with HIPAA privacy standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification through one of the following:
  • AAMA
  • AMT
  • NHA
  • NRCMA
  • NCCT
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Strong clinical experience with the ability to recognize and assess abnormal patient vital signs.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and technologies.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated private workspace suitable for HIPAA compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous telehealth or remote healthcare experience.
• Experience using Athena or other EHR platforms.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hoffman Estates, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
