TELUS Health Virtual Care (THVC) Canada’s leading virtual care platform, THVC is a comprehensive on-demand primary health care service that seamlessly integrates text, video, and pictures in one easy-to-use mobile experience. Our primary care team in Alberta includes nurse practitioners and registered nurses who work closely with our multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive care that includes assessment, diagnoses, treatment and ongoing support. 24-7-365 service across Canada, providing real-time access to primary care providers, when patients need it As a Nurse Practitioner with TELUS Health Virtual Care you will Provide exceptional safe, high quality, evidence-based primary care - through assessment, ordering diagnostic testing, prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, and initiating specialist referrals Follow up with patients when clinically appropriate to support continuity of care, health education and disease prevention Collaborate with other health care providers to provide primary and episodic care to support patient care Practice to full scope in a virtual environment by assessing, diagnosing, and treating episodic and chronic conditions while supporting patients through our platform, which includes secure messaging and video conferencing Deliver episodic and longitudinal care when indicated THVC Independent Service Provider Benefits Flexible self-scheduling to balance other work and personal commitments 24/7 THVC access for yourself, spouse/partner and dependent children < 26 years of age Free CMEs Administrative support Taxable expenses for professional dues, fees and development, work-from-home office costs to help reduce taxable income and increase overall earnings Requirements Current registration with the College of Nurses and Midwives of Alberta (CNMA) as a Nurse Practitioner (family/all ages/primary care) without restrictions Active, unrestricted provincial license(s) with required prescribing and/or lab numbers (PRACID) 1-2 years of primary care health experience is mandatory Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the other service providers and patients Commitment to provide comprehensive patient-centered care that focuses on exceptional patient experience and the best possible outcomes Proficiency in technology-supported care Reliable high speed internet service with a minimum 10 Mbps downstream and 10 Mbps upstream Quiet, confidential and professional space to work from Must be in Canada to work, access to THVC clinical platforms outside of the country is not permitted Additional details Independent service provider contract Compensation ranges from $77 to $87 per hour, based on experience as a licensed NP. Payment for administrative work done outside of consultations with patients will be provided and is subject to review Flexible schedule in 2-3 hour blocks (e.g., 8 a.m. - 11 a.m., 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.); 10-12 hours per week recommended; maximum 50 hours per week Scheduling (subject to change): Flexible, weekday on shifts: 12-2pm, 4-6pm, 6-8pm, weekend on shifts 4-6am, 6-9am, 12-2pm, 2-4pm, 4-6pm Mountain Standard Time
