Description

The primary purpose of this position is to interview and assess volunteers, youth, and families for eligibility into the program; uphold documentation and data management standards; and ensure child safety standards are upheld. This position works a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.


Job Details

Location: Remote, Must live in one of the following states to be eligible: Maryland, Minnesota, Texas

Hiring Salary Range: $20- $22/Hour Starting salary will depend on your skills and demonstrated readiness for the role.

Hours/Day: 10-20 hours, primarily evenings with some potential for weekends. Flexible to your schedule and the needs of participants of the program.

Job Type: Temporary Part Time, Non-Exempt

Essential Job Functions

Interview diverse volunteers and/or youth and families who are interested in the community-based program. This includes:

  • Confirm appointments with participants that are scheduled for interviews.
  • Ensure all participants receive an in-depth program overview; including participant expectations and enrollment process next steps.
  • Complete all necessary database entries according to agency standards.


Write detailed and comprehensive volunteer and/or youth/family assessments based on participant interviews.

  • Write detailed and comprehensive volunteer and youth/family assessments that include objective observations.
  • Ensure a high-level of proficiency in applying child safety and risk management throughout all aspects of job function including acting as a mandated reporter.
  • Make training and support recommendations for each participant to have a successful match relationship.
  • Make a recommendation for participant’s acceptance into the program.


Contribute to the mission and success of the agency

  • Adopt strengths-based perspectives when discussing specific groups or contexts, particularly those historically marginalized.
  • Handle data from youth, families, mentors, or other constituents with care, ensuring secure and private maintenance.
  • Stay informed about community needs, resources, and networks.
  • Collaborate with others to achieve goals outlined in the annual business plan.
  • Honor and respect the diversity of lived experiences, fostering an inclusive and equitable environment within the organization.




Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least three years of experience in related positions including work with databases, ability to keyboard, operate a computer and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in digital survey tools such as Surveymonkey or Google Forms preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service skills in dealing with internal and external constituents.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and accountability skills.
  • Ability to enter records and maintain information in computer databases.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written, telephone and in-person communications.
  • Skill in time management and analyzing work processes and workflow.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization and task completion.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
  • High degree of integrity, ethical decision making, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.


Physical Requirements

The applicant can expect sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
