TEST Data Security Consultant

Job Description: As a Data Security Consultant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data within an organization leveraging Microsoft data security technologies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust data security strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard critical information from unauthorized access, breaches, and potential threats in Microsoft 365 and beyond . Key Responsibilities: Data Security Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive data security strategy that aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate countermeasures to mitigate risks. Policy Development: Design and implement data security policies and procedures, including access control, data classification, encryption, data retention, and incident response. Ensure policies are compliant with relevant industry standards and regulations. Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver data security training programs to educate employees about best practices, security protocols, and potential risks. Promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. Technical Expertise: Stay current with emerging data security technologies, tools, and trends. Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal teams for the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure data systems. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and risk management, to align data security initiatives with broader organizational objectives . Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to promote data security awareness and ensure buy-in. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Security, or a related field. Solid understanding of Microsoft data security technologies, such as MIP, DLP, and IRM Proven experience (5+ years) in data security, information security, or a related role, with a focus on data protection, privacy, and compliance. Strong understanding of data security principles, frameworks, and best practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and provide practical recommendations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to stay updated with the latest data security trends, threats, and technologies.
