In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop detailed product Test plans and Functional Test specifications in conjunction with Business Unit Technology teams to ensure adequate product testing. These plans/specifications will be approved by the Technology teams.
  • Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems for industry-specific hardware from requirements to production deployment.
  • Designing firmware solutions based on company or project needs.
  • Designing detailed firmware plans.
  • Review low-level code and design.
  • Interface with hardware design and development.
  • Develop functional test programs and Fixtures to meet the test specifications and test coverage requirements. These test programs and fixtures will meet production capacity and throughput requirements and must meet local Safety and Health requirements.
  • Generate documentation sets for Fixtures that cover all manufacturing and maintenance requirements, BOM, and drawings, including defined maintenance frequency and coverage.
  • Document all test programs in the defined methodology and maintain change records of program modifications. These should be tied to the date of implementation and manufacturing work orders.
  • Develop test strategies to complement new products and test equipment technologies, review current product test processes, ensure all current tests have adequate specifications, and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Ensuring that the firmware is always functional and up-to-date.
  • Providing technical support and training to the test development team and test sustaining team.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related Engineering field.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Test Development, Manufacturing Test Engineering, Product Validation, or related engineering disciplines.

  • Strong programming knowledge in C/C++, VB/VC++, Delphi, LabVIEW, or equivalent development tools.

  • Experience in developing and supporting automated test systems, functional test programs, and test fixtures for electronic products.

  • Knowledge of embedded systems, embedded Linux, firmware development, and microcontroller-based hardware platforms.

  • Familiarity with hardware interfaces, communication protocols, and system-level debugging techniques.

  • Experience with software configuration management, defect tracking, and engineering documentation practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and manufacturing test issues.

  • Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing and product development environment.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience in developing automated test systems, test fixtures, and production test solutions in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

  • Hands-on experience with embedded Linux, firmware development, and hardware/software integration for embedded products.

  • Proven ability to define, document, and deploy test strategies, functional test specifications, and validation methodologies for new products.

  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), product transfers, and manufacturing readiness activities.

  • Knowledge of software configuration management, version control, and defect tracking tools.

  • Experience working with cross-functional global teams, contract manufacturers, and external suppliers.

  • Demonstrated success in driving test automation, continuous improvement, and manufacturing productivity initiatives.

  • Strong technical leadership, coaching, and knowledge-sharing capabilities.

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global organization.
