TURN YOUR COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE INTO A CLEAR CPW PROVIDER PLAN
Are you a community health worker, doula, nurse or licensed social worker interested in Texas Medicaid Case Management for Children and Pregnant Women (CPW)? AEIC Case Management LLC welcomes expressions of interest from professionals preparing for this work. Identify your next steps and be considered for a future independent contractor relationship with AEIC.
This is a provider-readiness interest pathway, not an immediate paid opening or an HHSC training course. Readiness conversations can take place virtually. Future services are limited to authorized Texas practice and applicable program and payer rules; remote participation does not establish eligibility in another state.
WHAT CPW CASE MANAGERS DO
Help eligible families identify needs, create a service plan, connect with medical, educational, social and community resources, and follow up on access to services. AEIC focuses on organized documentation, respectful communication and practical support for children and pregnant women. CPW case management is distinct from therapy and birth attendance.
FIND YOUR STARTING POINT
• Exploring: You do not yet hold an eligible credential. Tell us your goals so we can identify the professional qualification step; this application does not grant a credential.
• Credentialed and preparing: You hold a relevant credential but still need HHSC pre-planning, required training or approval.
• Approved and enrolling: You have an HHSC approval letter but still need Medicaid enrollment, applicable health-plan credentialing or group affiliation.
• Ready for verification: You already have approvals and enrollment. Apply to our Texas CPW Case Manager Independent Contractor posting for roster review.
WHO MAY QUALIFY
HHSC determines eligibility. Current pathways include Texas-licensed social workers with an appropriate non-temporary/non-provisional license; qualifying APRNs and RNs; Texas DSHS-certified CHWs; and qualifying certified doulas. RNs with an associate degree have additional relevant experience requirements. Doula eligibility includes documented births and professional recommendations, with experience or specified training requirements. A doula certificate alone does not establish CPW approval. Students and other helping professionals should not assume their degree or experience alone qualifies them.
YOUR ROADMAP
1. Share your profession, credential status, Texas service areas and current stage. AEIC reviews potential fit and documents outstanding steps.
2. Complete HHSC pre-planning, standardized case management training and required HIPAA training. Obtain HHSC's approval letter. AEIC does not issue or guarantee state approval.
3. Complete Texas Medicaid enrollment through TMHP/PEMS using the required approval documentation. Confirm appropriate individual/performing-provider and group arrangements.
4. Complete credentialing and contracting with the Medicaid managed care plans applicable to the clients you will serve. State approval, Medicaid enrollment and health-plan participation are separate steps.
5. If both parties wish to proceed, review AEIC's written contractor terms, visit rates and flat monthly administrative fee before committing. Complete credential verification, required screening, insurance, policies, documentation training and system orientation.
6. Receive written activation clearance before client work. Assignments depend on verified eligibility, payer arrangements, service demand and capacity; no clients, hours or income are guaranteed.
OFFICIAL GUIDANCE
Contact AskCM@hhs.texas.gov for HHSC starting steps. Review the Texas Medicaid Provider Procedures Manual at tmhp.com and HHSC's CPW provider information at hhs.texas.gov. Requirements may change; official agency decisions control. AEIC readiness support does not replace state training or payer approval.
FUTURE CONTRACTOR TERMS
Current AEIC rates for eligible completed visits are $45 per comprehensive visit and $35 per follow-up visit, subject to the written agreement's documentation and payment conditions. Contractors pay a flat monthly administrative fee; the amount, billing start and other terms are disclosed in writing before commitment. No fee is collected through this interest application. This pathway does not promise employment, paid training or reimbursement of preparation expenses.
HOW TO GET STARTED
Submit your resume and answer the readiness questions. Include your credential status, completed steps, counties you can serve, availability and the help you need. Do not upload SSNs, client records or sensitive identification documents with this initial inquiry. If invited forward, you will receive secure document instructions and a role-specific checklist.
OPTIONAL PRIVATE-PAY PRACTICE SUPPORT
Rooted Care Network membership and Practice Suite are separate options for professional visibility and practice support. They do not confer HHSC approval, replace Medicaid enrollment or guarantee AEIC work. Purchasing RCN membership is not required to submit this inquiry.
