Clinical/Therapy Development Specialist - Mitral (Germany)

Located: Germany (remote based) with extensive travel throughout Germany/Europe

Position Summary

The Therapy Development Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical support and education to ensure the safe and effective use of their mitral valve technology in the catheterization laboratory (Cathlab) setting. This role serves as a key clinical expert, supporting therapy adoption, physician training, and procedural success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Therapy Development Specialist is expected to:

• Educate physicians on device handling, implantation techniques, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate and deliver one-on-one training sessions and in-service education programs within hospital environments
• Provide guidance on patient selection and support enrolment efforts
• Serve as the subject matter expert on products by training and supporting hospital staff
• Deliver on-site, real-time clinical support during procedures, addressing any unforeseen challenges
• Report on-site activity and identify opportunities to expand therapy adoption
• Manage case logistics to ensure smooth procedural execution
• Document case observations and provide structured feedback to internal stakeholders

Education and Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Field Clinical Support, Development, or Clinical Sales within the structural heart or cardiology industry
• Must be a self-starter with willingness to travel
• Hands-on clinical support experience with First-in-Man (FIM) or clinical-stage devices is highly preferred
• Knowledge of imaging modalities such as echocardiography, fluoroscopy, and CT; willingness to further develop expertise
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with echocardiographers, research teams, and Cathlab staff
• Strong team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
