Are you a dreamer, innovator, thinker and a do-er who believes in contributing to something that makes difference?

Pursue your passion. Join PMI.

How You’ll Make a Difference

You will run the Thought Leadership department’s production process from initiation through publication across research, content, and engagement — standing up project documents, building and maintaining schedules, running project team meetings, and holding the portfolio to its commitments.

This is a hands-on delivery role, ensuring that the work lands on time and to standard so that leadership has an accurate view of where every initiative stands at any point. The role works across every function in Thought Leadership and coordinates contributors it does not manage. Success is measured by projects delivering to plan, by risks surfacing early enough to act on, and by the portfolio operating to a predictable rhythm.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree required (business, project management, communications, or related field).
  • 7+ years of experience in project or program management, running multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing content, editorial, research, or campaign production from initiation through publication.
  • Demonstrated experience holding delivery accountability across contributors the role does not manage.
  • Experience developing project charters, schedules, and risk and issue logs as standard practice.
  • Hands-on experience administering project management platforms (e.g. Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet).
  • PMP, PgMP, and/or PfMP certification preferred.
  • Experience working in complex, matrixed, or global organizations.
  • Familiarity with thought leadership, research, or content production environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong project and program management discipline, applied consistently rather than selectively.
  • Ability to build schedules from realistic effort assumptions and defend them under pressure.
  • Ability to hold contributors to commitments without positional authority.
  • Early escalation instinct — surfacing risk rather than absorbing it.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including running working sessions to clear decisions and actions.
  • Sound judgement on sequencing and trade-offs when initiatives compete for the same capacity.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the discipline to keep records accurate over time.
  • Comfort working at pace across many concurrent initiatives.
  • Fluent in English (PMI’s business language).
