About the Role

Clearprise is hiring a TikTok-Native Micro-Drama Video Editor for an international AI creative studio producing premium vertical dramas and branded entertainment.

You will work with AI-generated video drafts that are already approximately 90% edited. Your responsibility will be to transform these drafts into polished, publication-ready episodes by correcting editing errors and refining the pacing, captions, music, and sound effects.

The final output must closely match the fast-paced, emotionally engaging style used by DramaBox and similar vertical micro-drama platforms.

This is not a general social-media video-editing role. We need an editor who understands short-form dramatic storytelling, cliffhangers, emotional timing, dialogue pacing, and TikTok-native viewing behavior.

Key ResponsibilitiesMicro-Drama Editing

• Edit and polish vertical micro-drama videos between 60 and 120 seconds
• Match the pacing, structure, and emotional rhythm of DramaBox-style content
• Tighten dialogue, reaction shots, transitions, and scene timing
• Remove pauses, continuity issues, and distracting AI-generated errors
• Preserve story clarity while maintaining fast-paced viewer engagement
• Create strong openings, emotional beats, and cliffhanger endings

Captions and Sound Design

• Add accurate, readable, and properly timed captions
• Select background music that supports the mood and dramatic progression
• Add impactful sound effects without overpowering dialogue
• Balance dialogue, music, and sound effects
• Use audio cues to improve tension, emotion, and retention

AI-Assisted Workflow

• Work efficiently from AI-generated rough cuts
• Identify and correct visual, timing, continuity, and audio errors
• Adapt to a workflow where AI completes most of the initial editing
• Maintain creative judgment rather than accepting AI output without review
• Help improve the consistency and efficiency of the editing process

Quality Control and Delivery

• Compare completed videos against provided reference samples
• Maintain consistent pacing, captioning, audio, and visual standards
• Complete assigned edits reliably and within deadlines
• Organize project files and revisions professionally
• Apply feedback quickly and consistently across future videos

Mandatory Requirements

• Demonstrated experience editing TikTok-native or vertical short-form content
• Strong understanding of DramaBox-style micro-drama pacing
• Experience editing 60 to 120-second vertical videos
• Strong captioning, music-selection, and sound-design skills
• Ability to work effectively from AI-generated rough cuts
• Ability to identify and correct small visual, timing, continuity, and audio errors
• Strong storytelling instincts and attention to emotional pacing
• Ability to follow references and match an established editing style
• Reliable delivery and attention to detail
• Professional English communication
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Willingness to complete a standardized editing test
• A relevant portfolio or editing showreel

Strongly Preferred

• Professional experience editing micro-dramas, serialized stories, or narrative content
• Experience with DramaBox, ReelShort, ShortMax, or similar vertical-drama formats
• Experience using AI-assisted video-editing workflows
• Experience editing content for TikTok or other vertical platforms
• Strong understanding of hooks, retention, emotional beats, and cliffhangers
• Experience working with international creative teams
• Proficiency with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or comparable editing software

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate understands that micro-drama editing is different from editing advertisements, podcasts, or standard social-media videos.

You know how to make a 60 to 120-second dramatic scene feel fast, emotional, understandable, and addictive. You can recognize weak pacing, remove unnecessary pauses, strengthen reactions, synchronize captions, and use music and sound effects to increase emotional impact.

You are comfortable working with AI-generated edits, but you have the human creative judgment required to bring the final video up to a premium standard.

Applicants without relevant editing samples will not be considered.

Selection Process

There will be no traditional client interview during the initial selection stage.

Shortlisted candidates must complete a standardized editing test using the same footage, instructions, and quality criteria. The client will evaluate candidates based on their final output and select the editor who best matches the required standard.
