Overview Crocs Japan is hiring a Retail Senior Merchandiser to help drive the globally aligned merchandising vision for Crocs, the industry-leading casual footwear brand. As a Merchant, you are responsible for adopting the brand vision for the consumer, as well as identifying local product opportunities specific to the Japan Retail business. This person will play a key role in both pre-season assortment planning and in-season trading to ensure that the product strategy is achieved, and financial goals are met. What You'll Do Execute consumer-right assortments for owned Retail stores Build weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and share insights with broader team Participate in weekly trading meetings, providing insights and actions to drive business growth Work with Planner to understand inventory gaps to forecast and evaluate business risk associated Collaborate with Allocation team on product launches and ensure clear visibility of in-store stock levels Conduct regular analysis of product and promotional performance during the season, optimally connect with all collaborators, and share valuable findings for future planning. Conduct Seasonal hindsight analysis. Summarize Top line Financial Performance, Platform and Category. Understand hits & misses. Review flow opportunities and challenges Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent implementation of brand product strategy in Japan Retail Support ad hoc tasks including inventory checks, promotion list alignment, customs-related activities What You'll Bring to the Table Minimum Education: University bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum Experience: 5+ years in merchandising or merchandising planning and/or buying within a retail environment Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong Analytical Skills and Commercial Business Acumen Strong understanding of market competition, consumer and market trends Data-Driven Decision-Making that will impact the team day to day Strong Communication Skills Product Knowledge & Creativity Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Language: Fluent Japanese.
