About the Job:
We are currently looking to hire a Total Rewards Manager!
The Total Rewards Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Horizon Family Brands’ total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and wellbeing. This role ensures our programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business goals, while supporting our ability to attract, engage, and retain a diverse workforce.
This position partners closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to deliver data-informed recommendations and clear communications regarding pay, benefits, and related policies. The Total Rewards Manager also leads the Payroll & Benefits Specialist and provides oversight to ensure strong administration and continuous improvement of payroll and benefits processes.
This is a hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days per week on-site in Broomfield, CO.
This role may be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Lead annual compensation planning (merit cycle) and support incentive/bonus program administration
- Maintain and improve salary structures, job architecture, and market benchmarking
- Oversee benefits strategy and administration, including open enrollment, annual renewals, and vendor management
- Work closely with insurance brokers and benefit carriers to optimize plan design, cost, and employee experience
- Manage 401(k) compliance and administration requirements, including annual audit support, Form 5500 filing coordination, annual true-up, and related governance activities
- Partner on payroll management through day-to-day oversight of the Payroll & Benefits Specialist to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Provide reporting and insights (pay trends, pay equity, benefits utilization) to support business decisions
- Ensure compliance with federal and statement laws and regulations and make policy updates accordingly across compensation and benefits
The base compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $135,000 commensurate with experience.
About You:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation and/or benefits (total rewards)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, HRIS platforms (ADP Workforce Now), third party compensation survey applications and other HRIS/HCM software
- Experience leading merit cycles and benefits renewals
- Familiarity with 401(k) audit/5500/true-up processes and vendor selection processes, overall management, and coordination
- Strong Excel/data skills and comfort presenting recommendations to leaders
- Experience supporting a multi-state workforce (hourly experience is a plus)
- Prior people leadership experience (direct or indirect); HRIS experience strongly preferred
- HR Certifications like CCP/CBP and SHRP are a plus
