Key Roles & Responsibilities (R&Rs)

Sourcing & Network Expansion

  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline of qualified trade partners to eliminate project delays caused by labor shortages.

  • Partner with Reconstruction Project Managers and Estimators to identify trade capacity gaps and project-specific specialty trade requirements.

Vetting, Screening & Due Diligence

  • Establish and execute a thorough vetting process evaluating technical capabilities, project history, safety records, and financial stability.

  • Conduct structured screening interviews with business owners, verifying references and inspecting past project portfolios.

  • Ensure clear alignment on craftsmanship standards, job site protocols, communication expectations, and project timelines.

3. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Collect, verify, and maintain all critical compliance documentation, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), state/local trade licenses, and background checks.

  • Review Certificates of Insurance (COIs), confirming adequate General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, and Auto coverage, complete with required endorsements (Additional Insured, Primary/Non-Contributory, Waiver of Subrogation).

  • Monitor expiring compliance documents and enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy for expired credentials on active job sites.

Relationship & Performance Management

  • Track subcontractor performance metrics (on-time delivery, quality of work, punch-list efficiency, site cleanup, warranty responsiveness).

  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and facilitate conflict resolution between field project teams and trade partners.

  • Maintain a vendor scoring and tiering system to reward top-performing trades with recurring work.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5+ years in vendor management, subcontractor procurement, or trade coordination within residential/commercial construction, restoration, or reconstruction.

  • Insurance & Contract Literacy: Strong practical understanding of construction MSAs, lien waivers, W-9s, and COI endorsement requirements.

  • Trade Familiarity: Working knowledge of reconstruction trade scopes, workflows, and standard production rates.

  • Remote Fluency: Self-starter capable of managing priorities independently using modern digital tools (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, CRM/ERP platforms).

  • Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging both corporate executives and independent trade owners.

  • Software: Experience with construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, BuilderTrend, JobNimbus, or Dash/Restoration Manager) is a plus.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary + performance/growth bonus

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
