Our members need accessible, well-organised training to build the capability and confidence required to keep communities safe. This role connects national consistency with local knowledge. You’ll work closely with clubs and SLSNZ’s volunteer education network to understand demand, maintain a visible delivery calendar, coordinate instructors and examiners, and reduce the barriers preventing members from accessing development opportunities.
About the role
Reporting to the Training Delivery Manager, you will:
Develop and maintain a regional training, course and examination plan aligned with national priorities.
Use qualification data, club insights and workforce capacity to identify demand, gaps and priority needs.
Coordinate a clear delivery calendar that gives clubs and members timely visibility of opportunities.
Deliver nationally approved training and development, including Surf Lifeguard and Patrol Support Awards, IRB Awards, First Aid, instructor and examiner development, Patrol Captain courses and Intermediate Lifeguard School.
Coordinate venues, equipment, instructors, examiners and participant requirements.
Ensure delivery is safe, inclusive and consistent with approved national resources and requirements.
Coordinate examinations and ensure prerequisites, learner evidence and documentation are complete.
Build strong relationships with club training officers, instructors, facilitators, examiners and Chief Examiners.
Recruit, support and develop the volunteer delivery workforce.
Identify access barriers and support practical solutions for smaller and remote clubs.
Gather feedback and use it to improve quality, consistency and the learner experience.
Maintain accurate schedules, learner information, workforce allocations and delivery records.
Contribute to national team planning, shared delivery and improvement projects.
