ORGANIZATION SUMMARY World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy. POSITION SUMMARY: World Relief seeks a skilled communicator with excellent administrative and organizational skills with experience in initial resettlement who can plan and facilitate PIR Network Trainings, facilitate virtual cultural orientations to new arrivals, create technical assistance modules and resources to support the Program of Initial Resettlement, coordinate peer training across offices, and organize resettlement conferences. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, collaborative, and an attentive listener. This person must be able to communicate effectively across multiple audiences and platforms. They must be detail and excellence oriented. They will combine technical expertise in initial resettlement with strong communication and organizational skills to ensure high-quality programming across World Relief’s U.S. network. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: In collaboration with the Associate Director for Initial Resettlement and PIR Program Officers, contributes to training content and resource development for the field, including course modules in Thinkific for technical assistance of implementing grant. Oversees the cultural orientation curriculum and its facilitation at the local level to ensure that implementation and documentation align with program instructions, including the development of resources. Conducts regular virtual Cultural Orientations to the PIR Network for new arrivals. These cultural orientation sessions provide an overview of the program of initial resettlement and complement cultural orientations facilitated at the local level. Track the completion of Cultural Orientation at both the national and local level. Implements training objectives (identified by the above roles) for new caseworker staff in the field who lack similar training opportunities at their local office. Follows up with new staff as needed to monitor proper implementation of training. Establishes objectives and standardizes the peer-to-peer shadowing training process. Coordinates peer-learning opportunities for PIR field staff between offices including Community of Practice virtual meetings. Organizes, updates, and promotes training resources for field staff. Tracks training provision and attendance, participant feedback, knowledge acquisition, and evaluations for whole network and specialized training opportunities provided. Provides consultation to field caseworkers as questions are posed or areas of need are presented that are outside of PIR Program Officers’ areas of specialty. Plans and helps to facilitate PIR Network Training meetings and resettlement conferences. Supports PIR monitoring at field offices when needed. Participation in up to 15% travel required. Support any other projects and priorities related to training or overall service line objectives. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Mature and personal Christian faith Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs , Statement of Faith , Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document Self-motivated, collaborative, and an attentive listener Excellent writing and editing skills Proficient in Microsoft Suite Ability to perform research & data analysis. Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Experience working in a grant-compliance context. Domestic travel up to 20%. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in Social Work or in related field. At least 3 years’ experience in refugee resettlement work. Familiarity with IRIS, Dynamics, SharePoint, and Asana. Overseas and/or cross-cultural experience.
