Vision: To be the UK’s leading digital infrastructure partner, enabling a fully connected future
Mission: Deliver reliable, high quality site access, infrastructure and services that support our customers’ evolving connectivity needs.
About us
For almost two decades, Cornerstone’s infrastructure has quietly supported the UK’s mobile networks. Whilst we continue to strengthen that foundation and extend its reach, we’re in an exciting period of acceleration and product development that will see us enable more connectivity and compute to more communities and industries across the UK.
If you're an experienced project professional who thrives on complexity, enjoys bringing people together and knows how to turn strategic ambitions into practical delivery outcomes, this could be a fantastic opportunity.
12 month Fixed Term Contract
We're looking for a Transformation Project Manager to lead high-profile transformation initiatives across the business. You'll play a pivotal role in translating strategy into action, delivering projects that improve the way we operate, strengthen our capabilities and support our long-term ambitions.
This is a highly visible role where you'll work across multiple functions, partnering with business leaders, subject matter experts and delivery teams to ensure programmes are successfully mobilised, governed and delivered.
Why this role matters
Transformation is central to Cornerstone's future success.
As Transformation Project Manager, you'll help turn ambitious business objectives into measurable outcomes. From planning and governance through to implementation and benefits realisation, you'll ensure transformation initiatives remain aligned, controlled and focused on delivering value.
You'll bring structure to complexity, establish clear accountability, manage dependencies and provide the visibility leaders need to make informed decisions. Alongside successful delivery, you'll help embed sustainable ways of working that continue to deliver benefits long after a project has closed.
What you'll do
🎯 Lead transformation delivery
Take responsibility for complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives from mobilisation through to implementation, transition and benefits realisation.
🗺️ Turn strategy into action
Develop robust project plans that define scope, outcomes, milestones, resources, budgets, dependencies and success measures.
🤝 Align stakeholders
Build trusted relationships across operational, functional and leadership teams, creating alignment around priorities, responsibilities and delivery objectives.
📊 Provide clear governance and reporting
Establish effective governance, maintain project controls and deliver concise reporting on progress, costs, risks, decisions and benefits.
⚠️ Manage risks and dependencies
Proactively identify risks, issues and blockers, working with stakeholders to implement mitigations and keep delivery on track.
🔄 Support change and adoption
Partner with business leads and change specialists to assess impacts, support communications, drive readiness and encourage adoption of new ways of working.
📈 Deliver measurable benefits
Define success criteria, establish ownership and track benefits through implementation and transition into business-as-usual operations.
🏗️ Coordinate across workstreams
Manage interdependencies across teams, suppliers, systems, processes and organisational change activity to achieve successful outcomes.
💡 Drive continuous improvement
Capture lessons learned, strengthen project disciplines and promote practical, sustainable improvements to delivery practices.
What you'll bring
We're looking for a structured and pragmatic delivery professional who can confidently navigate complexity while building strong relationships across the business.
- Significant experience delivering complex transformation, business improvement or change projects within a matrix organisation.
- A proven track record of managing projects across the full lifecycle, from mobilisation and planning through to implementation, transition and closure.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, financial management, risk and issue management, dependency management, change control and benefits realisation.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders, facilitating decision-making and influencing without direct authority.
- The ability to translate strategic objectives into structured, achievable delivery plans.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for different audiences.
- Experience coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with project planning, reporting and collaboration tools.
- A collaborative approach, strong personal accountability and a focus on delivering outcomes that make a measurable difference.
- Resilience, adaptability and sound judgement when navigating ambiguity and change.
Bonus points for
- A recognised project, programme or change management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, MSP, Agile or Prosci.
- Experience delivering operating model, service, process, technology, organisational or data transformation.
- Experience working with suppliers, procurement activities or third-party delivery partners.
- Experience operating within a regulated, infrastructure, property or asset-intensive environment.
