The Opportunity
Own the Treasury relationship and delivery for FNZ's North America portfolio, while providing flexible support across Group Treasury. Turn business plans, working-capital information and operational developments into a credible short-term cash view, constructive challenge and practical actions. This role combines hands-on cash and banking activity with stakeholder partnering, disciplined controls and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with regional Finance, FP&A, Financial Control, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax and business leaders; lead regular cash and liquidity reviews and drive actions to closure.
- Coordinate and challenge North America inputs to the rolling short-term cash-flow forecast, validating balances, receipts, payments, intercompany flows and timing assumptions.
- Monitor daily cash and liquidity across North American entities, including entity-level and regulatory constraints, and recommend funding actions.
- Coordinate core regional Treasury activity, including payment oversight, bank account administration, payment controls and bank reconciliations, in line with policy and delegated authority.
- Support FX exposure management and approved hedging activity.
- Work with Finance and Accounts Payable to understand vendor, tax and other material cash requirements; investigate overdue items, working-capital movements and non-P&L cash drivers.
- Partner with banks, Treasury Systems and Finance Systems teams to resolve platform and payment issues and to test and implement approved process or system changes.
- Contribute to monthly Treasury reporting and ad hoc requests, providing concise, decision-useful commentary: what changed, why it changed, the cash impact, proposed action, owner and deadline. Escalate emerging liquidity risks, control exceptions and critical deadlines early.
- Maintain robust procedures and controls and support wider Group Treasury priorities and cross-team cover.
Experience Required
- Confident communicator who can build credibility, challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority. Qualified or part-qualified treasury or accounting professional (for example AMCT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong experience in corporate Treasury, cash management, cash forecasting or finance business partnering within a complex, multinational organization.
- Sound understanding of liquidity, working capital, banking and payment controls, delegated authority and audit evidence; practical FX or hedging exposure is desirable.
- Strong Excel, cash modelling, variance analysis and reconciliation skills. Exposure to a treasury management system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and planning tools is advantageous, and experience with Power BI or similar data-visualisation tools is highly desirable.
- Treasury or banking experience is desirable, together with the ability to maintain regular overlap with North American stakeholders.
- Calm, accurate and pragmatic under pressure, with sound judgement and a strong commitment to control, teamwork and continuous improvement.
What Success Looks Like
- Timely, complete and well-supported forecasts, with material variances explained and emerging liquidity risks visible early.
- Safe, controlled and efficient regional banking and payment activity, with exceptions and audit actions closed promptly.
- Trusted relationships across North America and effective cross-cover across the wider Treasury team.
- Practical improvements that reduce rework and manual intervention without weakening control
