Trust Accountant

Overview

The Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Trust Accountant to join the Finance department. The primary responsibilities of this position include reconciling client trust records with general ledger and trust bank accounts monthly, maintaining detailed records by client for funds held in all firm trust accounts, and preparing trust transfers, allocations, and financial transactions. Hybrid schedule three (3) days in the office and two (2) days remotely after completing 30 days of employment, subject to business needs and firm policy.

Responsibilities

Job Specifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 - 4 years’ experience in accounting, account balancing, and reconciliation.
• Law firm experience a plus, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills
• Self-starter that can work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize incoming work, and transition efficiently between different systems
• Strong knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word; 10-key speed required
• Be a supportive teammate demonstrating a professional demeanor and customer service approach at all times
