Position Overview OWT Global LLC is seeking an experienced UAS Airspace Integration System Field Service Engineer (FSE) to support UAS operations and low-altitude airspace management across supported mission locations. This is a remote position requiring approximately 50–75% travel to DoD and USAF installations and other mission locations for site surveys, installation, integration, training, exercises, sustainment, and system support activities. The UAS Airspace Integration System FSE will provide remote and on-site technical expertise to ensure the effective operation, integration, troubleshooting, and sustainment of UAS platforms and associated airspace infrastructure in support of safe, compliant, and efficient unmanned aircraft operations. The FSE will support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UAS platforms and associated infrastructure. The position will contribute to airspace coordination and situational awareness by enabling the management of operational UAS traffic and integration with external airspace data services, including flight authorization systems, Remote ID, and real-time airspace awareness tools. The selected candidate will work closely with government stakeholders, airspace managers, and UAS operators to facilitate compliant flight operations, deconfliction, and airspace utilization in accordance with applicable FAA and DoD guidance. The FSE will also support the integration of UAS capabilities with supported installation systems and, where applicable, provide coordination with air domain awareness and Counter-UAS (C-UAS) systems. In addition to technical support, the UAS FSE will deliver user training, develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintain technical and operational documentation, and provide reach-back coordination with engineering teams to resolve technical issues, implement system updates, and support continuous system improvement. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot UAS systems and supporting infrastructure at supported mission locations. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system integration issues to ensure continuous operational availability. Support integration of UAS platforms with external airspace services, including flight authorization systems, Remote ID, weather services, and airspace data feeds. Assist with real-time airspace coordination, including deconfliction of cooperative UAS operations and dynamic airspace management. Coordinate with government personnel, airspace managers, UAS operators, and other stakeholders to support safe and compliant flight operations. Support integration and coordination with air domain awareness and C-UAS systems, as required. Provide technical reach-back support and interface with engineering teams for issue resolution, system updates, configuration changes, and capability enhancements. Develop, maintain, and update system documentation, configuration baselines, technical records, and operational logs. Deliver user training and assist in the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Support site surveys, system installations, integration activities, testing, exercises, sustainment, and operational system support. Collect and analyze system and operational data to assess performance, identify issues, and support informed technical recommendations. Apply test instrumentation and telemetry data to support system evaluation, troubleshooting, and operational readiness. Support flight test activities and UAS system validation in operational and test environments. Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to translate operational observations and test results into actionable technical insights. Maintain awareness of applicable FAA, DoD, USAF, and installation requirements affecting UAS operations and low-altitude airspace management. Required Qualifications Experience with UAS and/or Counter-UAS systems. 5–7 years of experience in flight test engineering, UAS testing, or aerospace systems validation. Experience with telemetry systems and flight test instrumentation. Strong experience with data analysis, data collection, and visualization tools. Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Experience with technical documentation and test reporting. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues in dynamic operational environments. Ability to work independently in remote and field environments while coordinating effectively with government, engineering, and operational stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications & Skills Experience with UAS platforms, UAS Traffic Management (UTM), or digital airspace management systems. Familiarity with integration of UAS with air domain awareness and C-UAS systems. Knowledge of RF systems, sensors, or aviation-related technologies. Experience supporting DoD, USAF, or multinational-level operations. FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certification. Experience with system documentation, configuration management, and systems control processes. Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or Digital Engineering environments. Experience with low-altitude airspace management concepts and UAS architecture. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of low-altitude airspace management concepts and UAS architecture. Ability to analyze system performance and diagnose technical issues in real time. Strong problem-solving skills in dynamic, mission-critical environments. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision. Effective interpersonal and communication skills for coordination across diverse stakeholders. Ability to adapt to evolving technologies, operational requirements, and mission needs. Attention to detail in system configuration, documentation, testing, and operational execution. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively with government personnel, UAS operators, airspace managers, engineering teams, and external partners. Work Environment Remote position with a home-based primary duty location. Requires approximately 50–75% travel to supported DoD and USAF installations and other mission locations for site surveys, installation, integration, training, exercises, sustainment, and system support activities. Operational environment supporting live UAS and airspace management activities. May require coordination with multiple stakeholders, including government personnel, contractors, and external partners. Frequent travel is an essential function of the position and is expected to average 50–75%. May require flexible hours, including support during testing events, exercises, and mission operations.
