UFORCE exists to make aggression unaffordable.
Founded in Ukraine and headquartered in London, UFORCE is a defence-technology company with operations across Europe, the United States and Asia.
UFORCE builds uncrewed vessels, ground robotics and aircraft, autonomy software, and the command-and-control layer that operates them together. Each platform is deployable on its own, and stronger as part of the system. Its product lines include the MAGURA family of uncrewed surface vessels, the NEMESIS family of strike platforms, the LIUT family of ground robotic platforms, and counter-UAS systems.
About the role
UFORCE US is looking for a UAV Trainer to help customers, partners, and internal field teams safely and confidently operate, maintain, launch, recover, and employ UFORCE unmanned aerial systems. You’ll deliver practical, repeatable training that prepares teams for exercises, demonstrations, and operational handoffs.
This is a hands-on training role, not a classroom-only position. You’ll teach across classroom, simulator, dry-run, and live-flight environments, applying established programs of instruction, checklists, instructor standards, and safety gates. You’ll help trainees build the skills and judgment to perform consistently in the field—not simply complete a course.
You’ll work closely with the training program owner and colleagues across field engineering, Delivery, Engineering, Sales, and safety. Your primary responsibility is to deliver established training to a high standard, evaluate trainee readiness accurately, and provide customer-ready qualification records. You’ll also capture field lessons and feed them back into improvements to the curriculum, operating procedures, and training program.
What you'll do
Deliver practical UAV training. Train operators, maintainers, mission leads, launch and recovery crews, safety observers, Forward Deployed Engineers, and customer teams using role-based programs of instruction and established instructor standards.
Prepare teams for the full operating cycle. Teach mission planning, aircraft and payload configuration, communications checks, pre-flight inspection, launch, flight operations, emergency procedures, recovery, post-flight inspection, and maintenance basics.
Use a phased approach to learning. Combine classroom instruction, simulator practice, tabletop exercises, and dry-run rehearsals to build readiness before live flight and make effective use of limited flight time.
Apply consistent procedures and checklists. Use current, standardized materials across training events, covering aircraft readiness, batteries and power, payloads, communications, flight operations, emergency response, data handling, and maintenance turn-in.
Evaluate readiness honestly. Assess trainees against documented standards, provide practical coaching and clear feedback, and support qualification sign-off with accurate records and evidence. Distinguish familiarity from demonstrated competence.
Run safe, well-organized training events. Coordinate event preparation, assigned roles, mission briefs, risk assessments, range and airspace requirements, communications plans, flight windows, and readiness gates. Stop or change activities that are unsafe, underprepared, or not ready to fly.
Deliver complete training records and customer handoffs. Maintain attendance, flight logs, evaluation forms, and qualification records, and prepare clear handoff packages that show what trainees can do and where gaps remain.
Turn field lessons into training improvements. Lead or contribute to after-action reviews, capture lessons from flight data, maintenance findings, exercises, and trainee feedback, and recommend updates to programs of instruction, checklists, safety gates, and instructor notes.
Keep training aligned with the product and the field. Work with trainers, field engineers, Engineering, Delivery, Sales, and safety stakeholders to incorporate relevant product changes and translate Ukrainian and frontline operating knowledge into U.S.-ready training.
Produce credible readiness evidence. Capture and organize training artifacts that support customer confidence, operational handoffs, contract execution, and internal reporting, while respecting customer sensitivities and operational security.
Required Skills
Practical UAV operating experience. Hands-on knowledge of UAV mission planning, launch and recovery, flight-line operations, payload employment, and emergency procedures, with the credibility to coach others in a field environment.
Technical and operational instruction. Experience teaching mixed-experience audiences, preparing and delivering structured lessons, demonstrating practical skills, and adapting instruction without compromising the established standard.
Training standards and evaluation. Ability to work with programs of instruction, lesson plans, instructor guides, qualification standards, and evaluation rubrics, and to document trainee performance clearly and consistently.
Flight safety judgment. A disciplined approach to aircraft readiness, crew roles, communications, risk assessment, and go/no-go decisions, including the confidence to push back when an activity is unsafe or underprepared.
Range and airspace awareness. Working knowledge of the coordination, approvals, safety plans, and operating constraints needed to conduct responsible UAV training in U.S. exercise and field environments.
Systems familiarity. Operational familiarity with command-and-control and ground-control-station workflows, mission planning tools, payloads and sensors, communications, batteries and power, spares, flight logs, and field maintenance basics.
Documentation and continuous improvement. Ability to maintain accurate training and qualification records, use version-controlled materials, and translate after-action findings into clear recommendations for procedure and training changes.
Customer-facing communication. Clear, direct communication and the ability to earn trust with operators, engineers, military and government customers, and internal stakeholders. Comfortable teaching fundamentals while remaining credible with experienced operators.
Ownership and field adaptability. High standards, low ego, and a calm, practical approach to ambiguity, changing conditions, and high-tempo field activity. Takes responsibility for training quality and safety and is willing to travel for U.S. customer training, exercises, demonstrations, and operational handoffs.
Nice to have
Experience delivering UAV training to U.S. military, government, or defense customers.
Background as a UAV instructor, evaluator, standardization specialist, maintainer, mission lead, or Forward Deployed Engineer.
Experience developing or improving programs of instruction, pilot-style checklists, instructor guides, and qualification frameworks.
Experience supporting customer exercises, demonstrations, or operational handoffs with complete readiness evidence and customer deliverables.
Experience using simulators, tabletop exercises, and rehearsals to prepare trainees for live-flight operations.
Experience translating Ukrainian, frontline, or partner-nation operating lessons into training suited to U.S. customers and operating requirements.
Experience connecting training feedback with Engineering and product teams to improve equipment, procedures, and customer readiness.
The nature of combat has changed.
Tomorrow’s battlefield success depends on autonomy, speed, and adaptability.
And UFORCE is ready.
Are You?
